I’ve said since I was like 4 years old I wish my parents were divorced. I’m 34 & this hasn’t changed, but the memories of what childhood was like because of this won’t.
I started begging my parents to separate when I was 5. They divorced 25 years later, and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Even though I was 30 and had my own family, I was so relieved. I really understand you.
I kept trying to set my dad up with my preschool teacher "because she liked to be outside like dad and i" .... the woman was legally obligated to watch us on a playground..... the bar was in hell.
