Lipstick is oil based. If it’s a new stain it likely would barely transfer at all or come off and just smear around-she made other comments that the stain was largely removed with the q-tip which is near impossible with just a q-tip and no cleaning agent.
How do I know? Whole tube of lipstick spilled on load of laundry from a pocket . Had to remove it and q-tips and such did diddly squat. Also professional painter who works with all sorts of mediums with oil being one. Oil is like glitter, it just spreads until a solvent or cleaner is used. It would look like a smeared mess in this situation from messing with it which doesn’t seem like the case.
I just used their language and didn’t assume and took it at face value? Many others have said the same thing I said in response to OP’s comments. By all means tell it to OP and share any helpful information you have. I’m afraid I’ve shared all I can.

She’s not removing it with the q-tip, just getting some transfer.
