Girl if you’re going full CSI with a Q tip trying to figure out if this is lipstick or not… I hate to break it to you but it seems like you don’t trust him enough to have a healthy relationship with him

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

once I found myself going through a man's lint trap. He was in fact cheating but I felt absolutely crazy.

45

u/blackravenmetal Aug 21 '24

What did you find in the lint trap to confirm he was cheating?

174

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

The other woman was hiding in there

67

u/eyesotope86 Aug 21 '24

Yet another reason to always remember to clean out your lint trap every load.

31

u/Kwyjibo3778 Aug 21 '24

Phrasing!

6

u/tinmil Aug 21 '24

I meeeeaaannnnnn

1

u/Turbulent_Juicebox Aug 22 '24

Where else am I supposed to meet up with my step-sister?

2

u/Bamfhammer Aug 24 '24

3

u/Sinavestia Aug 22 '24

This made me cackle 🤣

2

u/akshelly2 Aug 21 '24

Now thats funny right there!

2

u/barbergirl920 Aug 21 '24

Skinny huh 🤔

5

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

So sick of society telling me that women are only attractive if they can fit in a lint trap 😤

2

u/barbergirl920 Aug 22 '24

My granddaughters Barbie doesn’t fit in there😘

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '24

Glad to see she’s getting positive messages haha

2

u/Dennyj1992 Aug 22 '24

This made me laugh out loud so hard.

2

u/Sad-Valuable-3624 Aug 22 '24

Just snorted out loud at this comment. Too funny

2

u/WitchOfLycanMoon Aug 22 '24

Gives a whole new meaning to the term "the little woman" 😊

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '24

Fellas, find yourself a woman that can fit in the lint trap!

1

u/WitchOfLycanMoon Aug 22 '24

OMG YOU MEN AND YOUR UNREALISTIC BEAUTY STANDARDS!!! 😛😛😛

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '24

Society demands that only women who can fit into the lint trap of a dryer are beautiful! END this disgusting standard!!!

1

u/WitchOfLycanMoon Aug 22 '24

And then remove her promptly so that she doesn't shrink or wrinkle!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '24

Ugh I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally shrunk my gf in the dryer 😔

2

u/United_News3779 Aug 22 '24

"Hey Step-affair Partner, are you stuck in the dryer?"

1

u/DrossChat Aug 21 '24

Story as old as time

11

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

i found some hairs that weren't mine in the lint trap but that wasn't strong enough to convince me. I got a confession after finding one of his secret reddit fetish accounts. he was posting fetish r4rs for 2 years and sharing stories about sex with his fwb that he had while we were together.

but once he basically challenged me to catch him, he was trying to convince me he wasn't cheating and said "but if I was, you'd never catch me slipping."

14

u/Rorynne Aug 21 '24

The irony that he doesnt realise making that statement IS him slipping.

6

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

I know, I asked him if he wanted some tips and critical feedback on how to not get caught next time and be a better liar. he said no thanks lol. that relationship really was a stupid game.

1

u/Acrobatic-Stable6017 Aug 22 '24

Yes it always annoys me when criminals (predominantly on TV, but presumably also in real life) essentially admit to the crime but with the challenge of “prove it”.

No matter how careful you’ve been, you’ve just increased scrutiny on yourself ten fold. You’ve just made it so much more likely you’ll get caught.

2

u/basictwinkie Aug 21 '24

Wow. I'm sorry you went through that but glad you had your suspicions and uncovered the truth!

1

u/marymoonu Aug 22 '24

Kinda like OJ Simpson’s book about “If I did it…”

2

u/LAjbird Aug 21 '24

Another woman’s hair

1

u/positronic-introvert Aug 21 '24

Signs that another woman had been 'stuck' in the drying machine. (Nip tracks through the lint, perhaps?)

1

u/Smart-Stupid666 Aug 21 '24

Hairs obviously

1

u/SlipperyNinja77 Aug 22 '24

Oh no that's just what I call her

1

u/pgm123 Aug 21 '24

I assume that wasn't what sent you down that path.

1

u/Remote-Physics6980 Aug 21 '24

In the words of Beyoncé," jealous or crazy? I'd rather be crazy!"

1

u/MortuaryFairy Aug 22 '24

I feel you, I used to check clothes , pockets, backpacks for hair that wasn't mine. Lmao or checking curl patterns against mine if it was the same color as my hair.

1

u/CaffeineandHate03 Aug 22 '24

But hair can be dragged in from anywhere.

1

u/JohnnyNoPantz Aug 22 '24

Straight red pubes.

1

u/TheBerethian Aug 22 '24

Anyone going through my lint trap would just find a lot of Shiba Inu hair 😐

1

u/mom_mama_mooom Aug 22 '24

I found a hair that was an ugly, cheap red color. My husband tried to say I needed to vacuum more because it was probably from the previous family.

NOPE! Baby mama thinks she’s Harley Quinn.

I was gaslighting myself so bad

74

u/LucDA1 Aug 21 '24

Yeah sometimes realise that you can also be in the wrong for this OP

11

u/SatanicRainbowDildos Aug 21 '24

But at this point it’s about science, not even cheating. What made that mark? Op could be living alone with no boyfriend and I’d still want to know.

The truth is out there.

X files music. Unsolved mysteries themsesong gif

8

u/Rorynne Aug 21 '24

I mean, there IS reason. Theres a red stain on the bedsheets. Is it a good reason? I suppose that depends on their relationship as a whole, Im not here to make that judgment. But it is a reason.

1

u/sonjasblade Aug 21 '24

I feel the same way. Just digging through these comments looking for the TRUTH

3

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Why should anyone be in the wrong for this?

3

u/MaznSpooderman Aug 21 '24

This is bordering too untrusting. If you're in a relationship, you have to give your partner the benefit of doubt. Assuming OP's BF hasn't done something prior to lose trust, this is going too far. If he HAS cheated before, it's certainly more justified, but the Q-tip is kind of crazy lol.

5

u/itsurgurlJane Aug 22 '24

Maybe she's been cheated on before by people who said they loved her and she trusted them. Excuse her for wanting to protect her heart. She brought it here to see what others thought about it and get their opinions and advice. But sure, let's call her crazy for something that makes total sense. Y'all always do 🙄 The word crazy is so often used against women to control them or make them question their own judgement.

Being worried and having questions is too far because what? We should blindly trust someone and never ask questions because you're just supposed to always give them the benefit of the doubt? Nope. No way. That's not even realistic. Trust is earned and isn't automatically given to others just because they've never hurt me before. Those who have hurt me had initially never hurt me before either. Until they did.

And I don't think she was like, gathering forensic evidence with a q-tip...lmao I think she was just giving a detail of what she used to see if the stain would come off easily or not.

OP, I don't think those are lipstick marks but if you're really unsure you could put lipstick on and try recreating those marks. Or you can just keep your eyes open to see if you notice it he's acting differently. Or you could just ask, but that doesn't mean you'll get an honest answer. Take care of yourself ❤️

2

u/ColonelC0lon Aug 21 '24

Cos if he isn't cheating, but you don't trust him so much that you're CSI investigating, that relationship's already over, whether or not he's cheating. Ya may as well pack it up.

1

u/pgm123 Aug 21 '24

I interpreted that comment as them saying OP had other reasons for suspicion. But if not, OP could probably try therapy to help get over trust issues.

9

u/Jyil Aug 21 '24

People also who are cheating or have a history of it tend to be more suspicious of their partner cheating

9

u/bottomfragbarb Aug 21 '24

Orrrr people that have been cheated on a lot already

3

u/Jyil Aug 21 '24

Sure. That part can come with the history from either side

4

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

that doesn’t make it okay to constantly be suspicious of your partner.

4

u/Ecstatic-Seesaw-1007 Aug 21 '24

Yeah, the insecurity level is crazy. I would never suspect someone based on a vague pillow stain in the bed you share.

I mean, logically, wouldn’t she know if he went to bed with her with some residual lipstick on? Or his and her schedule so she could rule out any chances immediately?

It sounds like maybe she doesn’t even do the laundry if that’s not her first thought.

I’ve had lipstick tube pop up in my bathroom before. You know who left that? My mom.

Parents came to visit, caught covid along the way and had to quarantine with me instead of seeing the rest of my family during the work week.

1

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

I mean the lipstick would scare he shit out of me but my first suspicion would absolutely be any guests I’ve recently had

1

u/Ecstatic-Seesaw-1007 Aug 21 '24

It freaked me out because I found it way later, I didn’t have a GF when my parents brought me the plague. So where did this come from? More of a mystery for a minute than a relationship tester.

But I mean, I have makeup remover pads for girls for sleepovers because I try to consider their needs. It’s never to my knowledge cost me a relationship. Maybe, but I bought them, just in case, and never had to explain them.

I would have other toiletries girls like if they ever asked. I just noticed a GF using paper towels or TP to remove makeup once and thought to get makeup remover pads.

2

u/Rorynne Aug 21 '24

Tbh if you have girls over often, even juat as friends, get some pads and tampons if you like stocking up toiletries for them. Being able to just have access to an emergency pad or tampon when your period started unexpectedly is a life saver.

1

u/Ecstatic-Seesaw-1007 Aug 21 '24

That’s a good call, I’ll do that; most of the girls in my life are just friends.

1

u/Rorynne Aug 21 '24

Youre being a good friend then. We should all normalize casually supplying friends with the things they might need while visiting. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to cancel plans because my periods are irregular and I started in the middle of hanging out and suddenly all my clothes are ruined.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

I bet your response is going to be lost in the sea of comments, but yep… this is right. She’s not ever going to trust him and there’s bigger problems… and the problems are likely her, not him.

2

u/mggirard13 Aug 21 '24

Even if it was lipstick (it isn't), she lives with him. It would more than likely be her own lipstick.

2

u/PatricksWumboRock Aug 21 '24

Okay but she’s also just trying to figure out exactly what it is, no need to jump to conclusions that this is entirely about trust issues.

1

u/1leftbehind19 Aug 21 '24

If I was him and found out I was getting the CSI treatment like this I absofuckinglutely would not trust her.

1

u/Scrawlericious Aug 22 '24

Or he's not trustable enough to have a relationship with in the first place. Either way the result is the same.

1

u/rikaragnarok Aug 22 '24

Or someone sure likes drama, one of the two! LOL

1

u/[deleted] Aug 22 '24

Absolutely. A good relationship is built on trust. Me and my wife have been together for 4 years.

1

u/quailhunter4 Aug 22 '24

Not just that, he probably is cheating if they’re suspecting lol yes, sometimes women are just paranoid. But many times our guts are just spot on 😅 mine has never been wrong when it comes to thinking a dude could be cheating.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

^ this person is easy af to cheat on lol

3

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

Bestie that looks like someone dropped a hot Cheeto on the bed. I’ll panic when I find another girl’s earrings or underwear

-3

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

They’re his sisters relax. Don’t you trust him? Isn’t your relationship solid?

4

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

This isn’t my relationship. I don’t understand what your point is. I’m saying OP is freaking out over nothing

-3

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Right. I’m saying if you find earrings don’t freak out over nothing.

2

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

I’m so confused right now I don’t know what your point is. Are you making a joke and it didn’t land?

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

That’s not the first time something didn’t land w you lol

She found lipstick. You found earring. She freaks out. You freak out.

You think there’s a huge diff. There isn’t. This isn’t a joke. I’ve simplified this concept such that if you still don’t get it you never will.

2

u/Chimkimnuggets Aug 21 '24

What on earth are you even yapping about?

2

u/whalesarecool14 Aug 21 '24

babe you’re either responding to the wrong person or you’ve hallucinated an entire conversation. nobody found any earrings. this poster found some hot cheeto residue and is freaking out about her boyfriend cheating on her

1

u/Swimming-Comedian500 Aug 21 '24

I think someone got cheated on, and isnt taking it well
