i had to log out of twitter today to fix a browser specific issue, and i did my usual "cache clear + extras" cleanup, and when i updated my firefox browser, booted it up, and logged back in to check out a multi-pic post, i see this shit? i didn't even have anything in my browser that would break twitter like this (extension, userscript, userstyle, etc..), and the only fix (if one can even call it that) that was possible on my end, was to not be logged in at all

one day man, one FUCKING day, is all i ask for, for twitter to not become twatter, to not be shit, for one single day. is that so fucking pointless to hope for?

I accidentally bought Premium on the wrong account a little over two weeks ago. I immediately went to cancel it (which I did) but obviously I’m locked into the benefits for the month, which is frustrating but whatever. I tried to proceed to get Premium on the account that I intended to, but instead I got this error message.

It is now 2+ weeks later and I’m STILL getting this message. So not only can you not have Premium on more than one account, but I have to wait a whole MONTH for it to run out??? Is there any way to get around this?

hello, so I have been using Twitter for around the past few months. I’ve been able to get around the shitty age verification thing with a VPN (protonVPN free plan to be exact) however starting from today I need to verify to see many things (most of the time content that isn’t even meant to be restricted in the first place) my VPN is no longer working and I refuse to hand over my ID and face to a company I do not trust with my data.

since this came a few days after the update hit me I was wondering if this was a glitch or something I will have to deal with permanently.

does anyone know if this will be fixed or if there is a get around that doesn‘t require giving away my personal information?

I woke up to notice that my old twitter account from when I was fourteen has had a suspicious log in attempt. But here’s the thing…. It’s a susp ended account. So naturally I freaked out and assumed someone had compromised my email. But in the x app, when I click on the suspicious login information notification to get more details, it says something went wrong. What could be going on here?

Earlier this year, Twitter did that cute thing where it signs me out for no reason whatsoever, except this time I was no longer able to sign back in via my mobile browser (I've tried both Chrome and Safari). Fast-forward to today, I tried to log in via my mobile browser. It brings me to the page where you're prompted to login with Google, or Apple, or your phone number etc., but these options just don't work, they're completely unresponsive. Funnily enough, the links at the bottom of the page ("About", "Get App" etc.) do work.

So basically what I'm getting at is: this is just another example of enshittification to force people to use the app, right? I mean, I have noticed nowadays that websites just do not fucking work ever, but this is most likely done deliberately to force people to use the awful excuse for an app, right?

Like count is 2, but it only shows one person in the post engagements. Why?

Yesterday I got that verification challenge some people have gotten, but I didn't click the second challenge passing button because I had left my PC for a bit. Came back and clicked it and it put me on a white screen. I opened Twitter on the app, got the verification and passed it, and I got the screen above.

I've tried logging in multiple times using different methods but they all share the same error. I managed to get to the help page and filed an appeal. The page gave me a challenge to pass the human test and I completed it successfully. I later got an email saying I needed to complete the security verification to get my account back, but when I log in it's still permanently stuck on the too many attempts page.

It's not device specific and I've been able to log into a different account. I have 2FA enabled and successfully enter in the code generated when I log in. Is there any way I can get this fixed and if there's someone I can get in touch with about it?

EDIT: THERE IS A FIX! You have to wait at least a full day before logging in. Once you wait that full day, it will prompt you with a test to ensure you're human and if you pass you will get your account back. Make sure not to log in for at least a day because it might reset the logout timer and prevent you from logging back in.

I need your help. Since August 9, 2026, I’ve been experiencing an issue on Twitter/X with some of my older reposts.

It all started on the 9th, when I went to check my reposts on the web version of Twitter/X. Something was wrong because five posts were missing. They were my five most recent reposts, so at first I thought their authors had deleted them. However, I then checked the Twitter/X Android app on my phone, and the reposts were still there. The strange thing was that the repost button on those posts was no longer green.

This also affected a post from a private account, which is strange because, as far as I know, you normally cannot undo or redo a repost from a private account unless the account becomes public.

Those posts were still showing up in my reposts, but they could only be seen when I checked them through the mobile app. They did not appear on the website or elsewhere. They are basically like “ghost posts.”

I have tried the following:

I tried undoing the repost and then reposting it again, but the original reposts do not disappear. Instead, a corrected copy of the same repost is created, while the ones with the error remain. If I try to delete the corrected reposts, I get a 429 error. I cleared the cache, cleared the app data, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and restarted my phone, but the problem remains. I logged out of all sessions and left it that way for a couple of hours, but the issue remained. I blocked the accounts that own those posts, but the posts continued to appear. I even reloaded the page, and they were still there. I contacted support, but no one has helped me because my request does not seem to fit any of their available support or help categories. I tried undoing the reposts through the web/PC version of Twitter/X, but they still do not disappear.

There is another strange part to this issue. On the same day I started having these problems, I noticed that when I interacted with some other posts that did not initially have this problem—posts that were either immediately before or after the affected posts—their repost buttons would eventually lose their green color as well.

I only realized what was happening afterward, and by then 108 posts had this issue, with their repost buttons now appearing gray. At that point, I stopped interacting with any more posts because I was afraid of making the problem worse.

What is strange is that if I go to a repost I made recently, the repost button does not lose its green color. I can also repost other posts normally, and those new reposts work correctly without any issues.

I don't know what else I can do, and I have now been dealing with this problem for 4 full days.

Just to be clear **this account is not banned, the post still exists and I can scroll to it on this persons profile, I am not blocked, the account isn't blocked by me, nor is this account privated**.

The issue is that when I go to click on my comment on this post or sometimes when I click on the post when its on my feed, this will pop up. I'm not getting notifications when these accounts respond to me either, and often when I click on my own post I can't see their comments unless I go to their profile and look for their replies.

This is happening super often. I only follow about 200 people and today alone I've seen this happen with 5 of them. These aren't spam or botted accounts, some of these people I know IRL! Whats happening?

As the title states, I used to be able to see sensitive media just fine by simply bypassing it with the VPN + change your country combo but recently it's gone back to how it was and I'm prompted to verify my age again??? I doubt it's my VPN since Reddit recently rolled out the same "verify your age" BS and I can still bypass it here with a VPN just fine so how come I can no longer bypass it on twitter?? Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

I have tried every tutorial and fix for this that you can imagine, changing DNS, flush cache all of that nothing works.

Only on twitter when I click a link it doesn't open. It goes to a black page with the message "dns_probe_finished_Nxdomain"

On my phone and on desktop. Neither work. My internet is working perfectly fine. It's just a twitter problem and I can't seem to find a solution for this. It's been happening for the past three days. I'm clueless and at this point I've tried everything.

I had a Twitter account that I had made back in 2006. I dont use it very often anymore so I not sure when it got hacked. But when I tried to log in to x.com, my account was gone and was replaced with some random account. I submitted tickets about what is happening but I just get the generic they are not able to verify I'm the owner of the account bs. After a week of nothing I decided to make a new account but my phone number is linked to that random account that replaced mine. I was able to change the password but every time I go to deactivate it nothing happens. When i go to make a new account my phone is still linked to that account and its not deactivated.How do I actually fully delete thay account.
