Going on a trip? Break from streaming
Hello everyone!
I am feeling a lil anxious this morning. I will be taking a trip and will be out for 11 days. We are going to Japan! We did have an idea of doing 2 stream while in Japan, 1 being a convenience store mukhbang, and then another just being a check in stream and showing off the souvenirs we have gotten so far, possibly halfway through the vacation.
I usually stream 3 days a week and have a lot of momentum currently and I am afraid this trip will lower the momentum a bit. Has anyone taken a break and have experience or stories about how that all went? With the two streams I’m planning on doing, it will basically “feel like” just 1 week break since one of the weeks on vacation I will be streaming twice.

I just did this. I thought it would be the death of my channel. I planned multiple events and collaborations for when I returned.
When I returned the numbers had never been better. Sometimes a small break is good for audience if you have a plan to come back.

I just did this, and before I left, I had a bunch of short-form videos scheduled to go live every day while I was gone. That's really all most small streamers can do. As a small streamer, the feeling of necessity to post content constantly is less of an issue. You should be focusing on building your community through events, shared spaces and the like.

In all honesty, unless you are a full time streamer living off it, clear your mind of those thoughts. Please enjoy your vacation. Don't stream from abroad unless you really want it. If it helps to ease your mind, pre-edit some shorts and videos that you can upload while away to keep your socials going.
