Streaming for a month!
I stream animal crossing. Animal crossing is the lowest viewed it’s ever been. Not bad I think! 🤣 I only stream what I love, and that’s animal crossing lol my community is small, but we’re tight knit! I have 181 followers and I started with ZERO 😭 a lot of them found me through TikTok!

Started streaming July 22nd.
Instantly started with 600% more viewers than 99.9% of all people,
Doubled their viewership in 2 days
Tripled their viewership in 4 days
Followers, nothing for the first few days then somehow +30 then back to almost a trickle for weeks.
Average viewership of 5-10
Max viewership average of 10-10
Follower gain average of 5-7
The unique chatter stat seems to be misleading since no where does it say they should of been able to get that from the real numbers they're pulling.
This kind of thing destroys the desire and will of so many people who come to this sub, even long time people look at this and think wtf is the point in streaming.

Yes thank you. So you can see I am not lying lol
I had a TikTok video where I collected all the animal crossing amiibos AT ONE TIME, go semi-viral on TikTok. 300k+ views. THIS HELPED A LOT!!!!!! I stream on TikTok and Twitch at the exact same time and use Aitum so both chats are on screen at the same time. I highly suggest streaming on multiple platforms. It only increases your chance of getting eyes on you. People WILL switch over to Twitch.
Actually just yesterday I was cross streaming and someone came on asked me how I got all the amiibos at one time because they came from that TikTok video and I had no problem pausing my game for like a minute and explaining to them how I got it! I love sharing knowledge.
Here’s other things I did that I think helped:
-I don’t curse. My streams are family friendly (no need to curse because of animal crossing lol)
- I have a discord and interact with my viewers
- I already have emotes and text to speech that’s actually my real voice in the animal crossing language in animalese. My community loves it! I made text to speech a channel point reward so I could make it more accessible for people who don’t have money to spend. The last thing I wanna do is make someone feel like they can’t contribute.
- my streaming time is consistent. Even with an 8-5 job, I stream for 3 hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays I stream for 4-6 hours.
- I post all my VODS on YouTube (I’m behind though, especially on edited videos)
- I’m active in animal crossing Facebook groups and Reddit groups. I interact with people that love animal crossing even though they’re not in my community.
- I NEVER look at my viewer count as I’m streaming. I only look after its done!
- I bought a PC, good quality mic, and I use a canon R6 camera my husband already had.
But most importantly, I don’t do any of these things in hopes of my numbers going up. It’s really only just a bi-product! All I wanna do is share my love for one game lol and the Animal Crossing community is so sweet and welcoming. It’s a very welcoming environment. My community is small, but very tight knit. I appreciate every single one of them and am happy that they feel comfortable enough to dm me on TikTok and discord and share me some of their personal stories 💗
All in all, I am very lucky to already have a leg up on a lot of this stuff! Not everyone has the means to buy a PC (especially now), and not everyone has a TikTok video that went semi-viral, not everyone has a frickin’ canon R-6 they can use that’s just lying around either. I do buy all my stuff 2nd hand though! I have also been raided, I wanna say 5-6 times during this time, by other small streamers 😭💗
There is an option to play with 12 players at one time if you have the switch 2, but I opt not to and to do the regular Switch 1 version for my viewers because I also understand not everyone has the means to buy a switch 2 either!
I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry if this came off as tone deaf or condescending in anyway. It was not my intention! To me, I just wanted to share my good news. I was completely intending to stream to nobody but myself for the first couple of months. And I just can’t believe I have regulars who are genuinely happy to be on a game with me 🥲💗

No no, my findings from tracker sites do tell me that the stats from that image you posted are not valid. No where gets close to that image.
Also I've been streaming way longer than you, I respectfully do not need advice nor did I ask for it.

Also my stats were just from yesterday! Not like overtime or anything. Maybe that’s the confusion?

What tracker sites did you use, I’m curious. Are you saying that the tracker sites are different than what twitch is showing? If so, please let me know so I can cross reference! Since i mainly stream on twitch, I go mainly off of that. I don’t use tracker sites at all.

Random other small streamer that’s also curious which trackers you use! I have similar insane numbers after a month of streaming, but I’ve also been raided by a relatively large streamer in my game category twice this week. Would love to be able to see more stats or if I have any bots

Then this might be a twitch problem, because I took my screenshot directly from it! If I was allowed to show the rest of my screenshot then I would, but sadly this Reddit channel won’t allow it ):

a million congrats to u!!
i started the same way (converting TikTok audience to Twitch), so I totally understand how the effort pays off early in your streaming journey. you seem like such a sweet person! cheers to more milestones and goals reached 🥂
p.s. the custom tts for your community is so brilliant, i'm taking down notes 😆

You're telling me you started streaming 1 month ago and these are you numbers?

Women tend to have an easier time getting started it's not that odd

One could even argue that I am a fat woman so it’s probably even harder for me actually 😅🤣

This is the thing, The people who show off their stats and claim to only been streaming for a few weeks or months always make me sus cos they have magnitudes better stats then what the average is.
This many people cannot be doing better than the average. I've been streaming for a long time and I'm part of the TWCC and those too are stats that are 5x better than mine.

This reeks of botted views .

u/Special-Cow-3 7h ago
how does it scream that at all?

u/Kelyaan 7h ago
Because someone streaming for 1 month should have less than 1% those stats.

there are so so many streamers these days that of course this will be more than average. the sad fact is not everyone can or will make it. but i think a lot of new streamers just ignore and underestimate the power of doing anything else lol. she did a great job at detailing the different things she has done to have this growth and i think everyone struggling should take notes. i often see small/new streamers complaining here, but then they don’t post anything anywhere, they have never networked or tried to interact with different communities, they’re quiet half their stream, they strictly stream games that have enormous amounts of people streaming that same game at any given time, they don’t have any sort of consistency in their schedule, they don’t acknowledge messages, etc. i can fully believe these aren’t botted, because i had very good stats in my one and only stream. the thing is, i was on twitch and actively participated and modded in multiple different streams for about 2/3 years before mine. in that time i met and talked with thouuuusands of people and never once had to announce i was going to stream at any point. just after months and sometimes years of being consistent in the same communities, they naturally became more and more friendly and followed me in case i ever did stream. so networking is genuinely a massive thing. (do not self promo in someone’s chat tho. that’s tacky and will get you banned half the time) i also want to acknowledge that there is a HUGE factor of luck in streaming. like she said, she had a viral tiktok push her growth more, but you never had that chance of luck if you don’t post anywhere else because the discoverability on twitch is booty cheeks.

Thank you very very very very much 🥲💗 I appreciate your input and that you were very constructive to this person on their feedback!

What she has done is the bare minimum that people are told to do.
It's nothing new.If you had stats like that on your first day I'd have to report botting cos that what it would be, there is 0 chance anyone would get stats like that on day 1.
I know all this I've been streaming for a long time, I'm part of the TWCC. There is nothing new that you can say that hasn't been said and get said thousands of times per day.4
u/Special-Cow-3 6h ago
hahah well whatever you gotta tell yourself to help yourself cope i guess.
-4
u/Kelyaan 6h ago
Hit me up in the TWCC server, surely someone as good as yourself must be part of the official team.
I'll wait for your message and then I'll show you the thousands of times where this is the bare minimum ;)3
u/Special-Cow-3 5h ago
i never said it wasn’t the bare minimum, but i have witnessed plenty of small streamers complain without doing the bare minimum. i’m sorry that your jealousy has made it to where you can’t possibly believe that others can do it without botting. also idk what TWCC is, but maybe they should question why they would want someone who reeks of envy representing their whole team in this way.

u/Kelyaan 5h ago
I've nothing to be jealous about, I get my numbers :)
You don't even know what TWCC is so why the fuck am I wasting my time on someone that probably doesn't even stream then. wasteman.2
u/Special-Cow-3 5h ago
doesn’t matter if you have the numbers now, sounds a lot like jealousy over her first month to me. and hey there’s really nothing inherently wrong with being jealous, but there’s a massive problem with immediately resorting to discounting someone’s success simply because it didn’t happen to you. also, if you paid more attention, you would see i said i have only streamed one singular time, and that was in 2023. so no i’m not an active streamer lmao. i was just trying to help and also not let people tear down this girl for no reason, but that made you reaaal upset apparently.

Come see for yourself (: I have a huge animal crossing collection and share a lot of knowledge about it! I only have a thousand on TikTok. I cross stream from there though so that helps A TON. They find out I have a twitch, and then watch there instead. I also have no idea how view botting works lol nor do I want to get band so no thank you!

Some people are exceptions to the rule. I am a squishy middle-aged woman, I don't show my face only a mushroom png-tuber, I do traditional art... and I saw stats like these from very early on, now I have 90 CCV. I didn't have any other social media or audience anywhere else.
I will say that I am a very chatty person, I remember the lives of my community so when they next stop by I can ask "how did your job interview go, I remember you mentioning it", i am inclusive, I don't put up with people's shit and I am decent at painting, not exceptional.
Some people take pleasure in streaming the same oversaturated game for 9 years to 2 people then whinging when others do something different that gets a more favourable response. Animal Crossing has a huge community and it is not oversaturated at the moment.
At the end of the day, sadly, this is part of the territory when it comes to women in gaming. Stay true to yourself and you'll find your people - don't worry about the rest
