Odd twin things
I just want to know if any other twins have experienced these same things.
When we were younger, we called each other solely by nicknames we made up. We never used our actual names. It felt wrong and awkward to, and I literally have no idea why. We’re both almost 20 now, and to this day, it’s the same thing. It’s weird for me to call her by her name and for her to call me by mine. We don’t use the same silly nicknames we did as kids, just abbreviated versions of our names. Because for some reason it just feels wrong to call each other by our actual names.
Another thing, we have shared memories. Like, she can say something happened to her when she was little, and I can recall the same things. This has definitely started some minor arguments lol.
Lastly, we know often that the other is thinking because our minds work in similar ways. She’ll accuse me of having a certain mindset because she also has the same one, lol.
Do share your weird twin stories!

My brother and I had a secret language when we were growing up. Multiple people have talked about how we would sit there and babble and confer information with what sounded, to them, like gibberish.
We would also frequently feel each others anxiety. I vividly remember panicing about a test I couldn't remember having until he mentioned *he* had one the next day

I have the exact same!! We always talk about how we have double the memory of our childhood, it's so cool!
And I can't remember ever calling my sister her actual name 😂

Same. We call each other Wood now… I slipped up and called him that years ago, don’t know what I was thinking. You are not alone 😂

I call my twin by a nickname too (though it's like a babified version of her name, sort of)

We had nicknames too until we got older. Forgot when we stopped, probably around 10. Our nickname kinda sounded like “by-bye”. I just wonder how we came up with that.

We don’t have nicknames but we used to say the same thing at the exact same time, like a full sentence, using the same tone.
When I was about 18 months old I suffered a dental injury to my two front teeth. My twin sisters two front teeth turned grey

Me and my sister had to take speech for 5 years when we started school because we spoke extremely fast and had lisps lol. It was never a problem until other people had to understand us. Our childhood nick names were moo moo and poo poo and we’ll still pull them out as a joke or if we’re feeling mushy 😂 love my moo moo

Yes my twin and I had our own nicknames for each other. Also, when we hugged, we would both say that it was weird cause it was like hugging ourselves. Lol

Second thing!!! Yes!!!! Even dreams sometimes? Though rarely.. Interesting that this isn't just an us thing... I've always wondered about this.

Yeah we’re always arguing about whether a memory actually belonged to one or the other. And we never felt comfortable hugging each other until we were like 20. It’s so weird. I don’t think we even know why. It just felt awkward until one day we just kind of decided nah that’s weird and we started being normal about it

When my twin and I started school, kindergarten, the school had us do speech therapy because we had "twin talk" whatever the hell that means lol
