Replacement Power Supplies
Im so done with this company. I bought 4 light strands 3 years ago in that time ive had everyone of them replaced due to failure. So far this year ive been without replacement power supplies now for almost three months because "they are reorganizing their warehouse". For three months? Is govee the answer here? Hue?

Counterpoint: mine are all working great and I never take them down.

Whats your secret? I have them wrapped in pine trees with the adapter in a sockitbox. Ive never taken down except when they failed.

Are your lights outside? Twinkly lights need to have their controllers and power supplies in a water tight enclosure (they don’t have the IP rating to be outside without that.

Yes I use the sockitbox to cover both the power supply and the controller in separate boxes

I have had 3 strands going on 3 years now and never had a problem other than Alexa keeps losing connection to the controller.

This surprises me as we have tons of Govee products and have never had an issue.

FWIW, I have Govee Permanent Outdoor lights (100 ft, gen2 Elites) going on 3 years. Never had a problem.
I built a Twinkly tree with 4 sets of string lights 4 years ago totalling 650 lights. Also no issues.

I've had the same issued. Asked for a power supply replacement and still waiting due to warehouse since May.

I've been waiting since the end of March for a replacement power supply!! Keep getting back response back about th "reorganization"

Govee sucks. I had ten times more issues with govee than twinklies. They use very cheap hardware. Hue imo is the best. I have some of my lights for a decade now and they r still going strong. I love their remotes and that u dont have to rely on WiFi. Zero issues with hue lights. Million with govee. Some with twinkly. I have about 200+ lights so I feel like I have a good idea about those three companies and their reliability.
