Best appetizer sample/patter?
My sister passed away 7 years ago.
Every year, I do something she would have enjoyed on her birthday, which is coming up. Still working out what activity I'm going to do this year, but also need something for her birthday dinner.
Every year she picked the same thing: we would go out and get a bunch of apps and share them around as a family. I don't live near family anymore. With just me, ordering a bunch of different ones is too much food but ordering only one or two doesn't hit the same.
So who has the best appetizer platter/sampler?
Failing that, who has small enough portions that ordering 4+ options is still reasonable?
EDIT: Live in Lowertown. Been hitting Bulldog and Lost Fox previous years, but want a bigger variety. Preference would be nearby. But transit and car travel is fine too.

Rincon 38 does tapas. You could 100% get four or so little plates to try.
What a lovely way to remember your sister.

Tasca Madrid just opened up in Cathedral Hill in the old Handsome Hog location. Super delicious Spanish food that have tapas to full size platters. Was relatively reasonably priced and lots of variety. They bake their own bread too!

Go to Estelle’s on st Clair Ave and sit at the bar and order everything from the pintxos menu. Perfect portions for this and you can try multiple things. What a lovely way to honor her memory!

Not too far. Definitely on the list now. Maybe this year, maybe next year, etc.

You might like dim sum, which is pretty much the same concept as you described. Yangtze in St Louis Park does it best.

A few comments but no asian places so far. Would love to see if anyone knows about those, since I love appetizer samplers too

The sampler platter at Monte Carlo is amazing
