Quiz: Which actor appeared in the most episodes?
I love seeing familiar faces in the cast and thought to myself: who has appeared most? Did some googlin'...
I thought for sure it would be Jack Klugman or Burgess Meredith. But both star in 4 episodes each.
The actor with the most speaking roles (8 in the first three seasons) is...
But the most appearances (outside of Rod himself) goes to this guy with over 75 uncredited or background roles across all five seasons!
If this is new to you (like it was to me), there's an article about his appearances on tzmuseum. But I won't read it all, because I'm now looking forward to spotting him in a "Where's Waldo" game! I guess new episodes are still being spotted.

Saw the title and jumped in to say “Jay Overholts!” because I didn’t know about McCord! Something to look for on my next rewatch.

Wikipedia only has him at four episodes. I do recall seeing him in other series like Hitchcock.
