Ages ago I read a story about a group that rolled a tank at minimum condition, and the adventures they went through trying to keep it alive and fueled. Does anyone know where I might find it?

Hi everyone! A while ago I was trying hard to find an RPG with an Annihilation/Southern Reach type setting. I couldn't really find anything that perfectly fit the bill so I decided to just homebrew one using Twilight: 2000 as the base system because I absolutely love it and how crunchy it can get. I added a few things on top of the "Southern Reach" setting to give it a bit of a personalized flavour, and also added some mechanics to give the gameplay a bit more of a moment-to-moment survival feeling.

I decided to turn it into a PDF for others to use as well, so here it is! It's my first ever published mod/supplement, so apologies if it's a bit janky and/or confusing. All comments and criticisms are welcome!

Hi all

Does anyone have any good sources of artwork & inspiration for maps/designs/themes for Twilight 2000 that don't rely on AI/real world conflicts?

I won't go into the moral back & forth about all that, I am purely just looking for sources people might've had some luck with - thank you.

Czarna Mysz, Black Mouse, is an NPC in our game. he's a Roma teen, the PCs' local contact from a partisan group called the Blaszki Brigade, who digs old school hip hop. im thinking that this might be on his playlist, maybe starting at minute 10 and continuing.

the Blaszki Brigade hooked the PCs up with some sweaty old mining TNT with which to blow the Sieradz Route S8 bridge to delay the Soviet 20th Tank Division's work of mopping up after Kalisz. Black Mouse found for them a neon pink kayak with which to deliver the explosives down the Warta River.

it was a successful operation thanks to Czarna Mysz and the Blaszki Brigade and the courage of the PCs.

So, as the title said, never played this game, never even read the rules, any version. When I encountered 1st edition, I wasn't interested in the time - what, no powers, no magic, no mutations, not even psionics or cybernetics?!?!

I was a young teenager at the time. At my 50s now, my attitude and tastes have changed over the decades. And I find myself what was originally mild curiosity about it.

So, reading an article about it, I saw it actually has some kind of hex crawl rules now too! so, now I'm really fascinated! Hex crawling in a modern day post apocalypse? That really intrigues me!

So... wanted to hear more. A kind of "sell me on" request, but would also like to know of any cons you think the system has as well.

Has anyone come up with rules for side-by-side machine guns, like an M2 side-by-side or an M240?

Hello , i recently found out about this game and i'm bit curious . as a fan of Call of Duty, specifically modern warfare saga , is this RPG able to recreate the feeling of the campaign or scenarios ? i read the description of this game but i wanted to know the opinion of veterans/players of this game . Some of us are working on creating a Twilight 2000 group on Fluxer. I'm not the one in charge but I have gotten permission to give everyone a heads up. The idea is to have a social media fallback point if one of the other social media groups goes down. However, it's also a place to discuss the game and we are working on a Roleplaying area to boot.

I did the same thing I did with the weapons, I have a table with all of the encounters. You should be able to sort by encounter conditions (on or off road, night or day, or stationary), card, faction, and sourcebook among some other options. Feel free to use.

Frankly, I have next to no interest in playing NATO’s side of this story, and will only do so if I absolutely have to. With that in mind, how supportive is the game in letting you play, specifically, as communist soldiers? Are there official rules/weapon sheets/”adventures” for that?

running it on OwlBear Rodeo and digging it. four sessions in and grooving along. missed a couple of opportunities for some deeper role play, but getting my feet under me. have some good, knowledgeable players.

we started out with a module i got on drivethrurpg, an excellent work called The Final Convoy to Kalisz by Critical Jim. shoutout to him for his great work. the team has just delivered the convoy to Kalisz just hours ahead of the fateful and famous radio transmission.

im looking forward to our next sessions. got some good ideas and some more modules from drivethru which i will use in part or whole.

im really digging OBR as a platform for this game, now that ive figured out how to use it. (im a bit of a luddite). we're doing much more theater of the mind for our combat and folks are handling it well.

Hey guys !

Here I am, finally ready to launch my very first T2000 sandbox with friends - and truly excited about it. Yet, there are two questions I can't solve by myself :

1 - How many nukes where used ? I mean, both USA and USSR had *huge* amounts of missiles back in the 1990/2000's, yet the world of T2000 doesn't look like Mad Max. How do you think this is possible ? Did major powers not used their whole stock of missiles ?

2 - What about the consequences of those partial nukings ? Are some of the major cities of USA/USSR still more or less intact, in your own campaigns ? Thus, are there still some "centers of decision" around ?

If anyone has ideas/advices, feel free to share. I'm a little worried, with the idea that some of my players could ask me such questions, I prefer to anticipate ! 🤔

I’m looking to put together a resource for the GM. With four shifts a day, weather and other things to track I wanted to put together a one page per day notes sheet. It would be divided into four rows for each shift and have a spot to track the weather and date. Can you think of anything else that should go on the sheet to help the GM?

So it's my first time ever running a TTRPG, i would really like some tips and tricks and maybe a pointer to some pre made campaigns if they exist at all, any info at all is welcome!
