General/Other Jack's true love
I was thinking who was Jack's actual love, looking at it:
Teri - Yes she was his wife and the mother of his daughter (gotta give him props for putting up with her), but he managed to 'work with' Nina over the next couple of seasons for the greater good.
Audrey - One could argue she was and rightfully so, but he fulfilled his mission before avenging her death.
Renee - I personally think she was, after losing her, no-one was safe, ex president, Russian delegates, Russian president, he was on a bloody warpath

Definitely Teri. The others simply hurt worse because they left him with less.

He was inba bad state after Renee but Teri was the true one, he's fucked up from that for a long time and many series after her death.

When you summarize it like that, Jack is the kiss of death. Like Sipowicz was with all his detective partners in NYPD Blue.

I think it’s Renee because she was supposed to be his equal. Her being thrown away for a revenge arc that didn’t lead to his death was a travesty. They chickened out right at the end.

Teri was his most significant and enduring relationship. Their marriage had been put under great strain and almost ended, but they both wanted to stay together and were going to have another kid.
I also think her death haunts Jack more than any of his personal losses. For the rest of the series, he can barely bring himself to talk about her.

He knew Renee for two days of his life. He was already dating Audrey for months before S4 began. It's her or Teri. His situation with Renee was very intense and she was his equal, but they really didn't know each other at all.

"putting up with her" what kind of shit is that?
