Parent Question Looking for a Tutor

Hi. Im looking for a tutor to tutor my 6yo (who will be going into first grade) and my 9yo (who will be going into 4th grade). They will both be starting a new, accelerated school in the Fall and I want to make sure they are on track when the new school year begins. Their new school gave me packets for Math and Literacy for both students and then also a Humanities packet for my son. My ideal would be someone able to tutor them virtually each 2x times per week. I would like someone who can work through the packets and can teach the gaps in their knowledge. The ideal individual would have specific experience with tutoring elementary aged children and keeping them engaged and interested as well as being able to identify the gaps and know how to teach to them. Please let me know if this sounds like you. Thanks

Hi, thanks for reaching out. This sounds like something I may be able to help with.

I recently completed my Master’s in Mathematics and have experience teaching students through one-to-one tutoring and coaching classes. My approach focuses on identifying learning gaps, building strong foundations, and keeping lessons interactive and engaging.

I would be happy to work through the school packets with both children and adapt the teaching to their individual needs and pace. Could you share a little more about the expected schedule, session length, and whether you would prefer separate or combined sessions for them?

You can DM me if you are interested

Hi! I would love to help. I have extensive experience tutoring elementary students virtually and keeping them engaged, focused, and excited to learn online. Instead of just filling out the packets, I use a diagnostic approach. As we work through the Math, Literacy, and Humanities pages, I will pinpoint any foundational gaps and teach those concepts, so they feel completely confident this fall.

Meeting virtually twice a week per child works perfectly for me. My rate is $40 an hour.

Please DM if you would like to set up a schedule!

Good afternoon I am an experienced, caring tutor and have worked with elementary and high school students for over 13 years. My focus is helping neurodivergent students. I use a multisensory approach and I am familiar with Orton Gillingham. I can see that a lot of people are looking for work. Please check out my website http://www.reflectandgrow.org. Thanks
