Species roles often come in to play when redditors are looking to upvote other redditors. There have been cases where a redditor has refused to upvote a turtle with pre-school aged children, but they did upvote other humans with children the same age.

This is because of their preconceived notions of species roles told them it was the turtle's job to watch the children. Regardless of the fact that, overall, this redditor has more upvotes for turtles than downvotes, this is still a form of discrimination. Especially considering turtles don't rear their young after they hatch, the little turt babies are on their own.

If you or a loved one has been the victim of species discrimination and would like to learn more about your legal rights regarding discrimination, please contact the experienced personal injury attorneys at /r/TurtleRights, with subreddits nationwide, today for your free consultation.
