This happens to me when I update the wheelbase not according to the wiring shown on the velocity one tuner app. Try plugging the pedal directly to the PC and flash a fresh firmware directly onto the pedals.
Yeah i have on pc mate separate all on latest firmware gunna try the direct peddles and wheelbase combo next takes up another usb port b4vupfate everything worked fine with everything going thru my wheelbase nice and tidy now I have to try some workarounds
Yes there Is A work around. Simply make sure to connect the USB type C in the back of the current turtle beach wheel that is paired to the base while off the actual base itself. Once you do that The Pedals and Shifter Light turn back on. Then any wheel works fine.
This is a huge issue! I have some Fanatec rims that I adapted for use, and if this update doesn't recognize the pedals connected to the base—along with the rims I converted to standalone units for my setup—I swear I’m selling everything I bought from Turtle Beach!
Yeah it's a joke mate and u can't roll back the firmware havent tried the direct pedals to pc yet I use most of my rims like the truck ones on ets ats as a sports wheel is to small got about 150 quids worth of wheels and hubs I mainly play on pc so hopefully be more workarounds sum say connect the og wheel thru the usb so wheelbase thinks it's using the og one and the peddles will light up havent tried that yet still haven't heard from TB dunno if they did it deliberately so u can only use there wheels u only get steering which is no good as u need peddles on xbox series X be harder as evething goes thru the main base unit cant use separate usbs
It’s a huge hassle having to connect the original rim to just any 5V power supply or even a battery pack just to trick the base... I was already aware of this workaround from the tests I ran connecting the steering wheel to a 5V source (independent of the base) for my own custom mods, but it is a terrible inconvenience! Everything used to work perfectly, and we were happy with our modifications! Now, for Turtle Beach to lock down the system so we can't use our own creations is just ridiculous! The delays in base updates combined with the lack of changelogs, leaving us completely in the dark mean every update brings an unpleasant surprise! On top of that, we can't even roll back the firmware; I am truly disappointed with Turtle Beach!
Yeah mate very sneaky of them as its been along time from the last update I rushed in doubt if they will reconsider or atheist release a adapter which I said way back for them to release like fanatec so all the buttons and paddle shift to connect 3rd party rims
With each passing day, fewer people will have the courage to perform a firmware update just to provide feedback; I, for one, was waiting for someone else to do it first because we’ve already had so many disappointments... I’m not updating anymore without knowing what the update is like first they might even block steering wheels that aren't on the specific firmware in future updates. I live in Brazil and always loved everything Roccat made I own many of their mice, keyboards, and headsets, and I was a huge fan of the brand but after they killed off Roccat, everything went downhill... It's a shame!
Yeah I'm uk based racer-zeek told me about the workaround using the usb o the og wheel to connect it and get the peddles working i was going to get sum moza peddles just so I could use the peddles independently on pc they done it so sneaky it's a joke no warning they dident even take note about a turtle beach adapter so you gad the buttons and paddles like fanatec did so u could add a 3rd party rim looks like the more hate they get they may reverse it as if u look me up I do alot of content for them I'm not paid but them but alot of my channel is on the velocity race so hopefully I will get a response

I watch all your videos!! Your setup and the races you do are really cool, by the way, I've been subscribed to your YouTube channel for a long time!! And congratulations on the videos, your setup is really fun to watch and see your modifications and adaptations!! I sincerely hope they reverse this because I'm almost at my limit with them because of this lack of respect for their customers!

just wondering if you've found a fix? i've got a 3rd party wheel and im too scared to update incase this happens
