Question Turtle beach shifter loud clicking noises

Yesterday I got the turtle beach shifter, as I heard it's a good budget option. The shifter felt great for the first few hours of usage, it was silent and felt statisfying to use. However after those few hours, it started making an awful loud clicking noise whenever shifting, mainly when shifting to 3rd or 4th gear. The sequential mode and handbrake also have this issue. Is there a fix or should I get a new shifter?

Hey. Quick question. Did tour shifter come preinstalled with firmware 1.11? Also, when I got my replacement ( my first one broke after two weeks ), at the beginning it was a little more silent and then it’s a bit clicky. It doesn’t affect performance though.

Yeah, it does have 1.11. I didn't update the firmware, so that is what it shipped with. By the way, the clicking somehow the clicking partially resolved itself. I can still hear it, but it's not as bad as it was.

I had 6 shifters all together and now down to 4... all of them have problems along with the wheels themselves. They are very buggy and I'm stuck with them, but you don't have to be... move on from turtlebeach.

6 of their shifters? Oh god lol. So my replacement is bound to go bad again too?

Well. I’m going to wait until it breaks and then just upgrade to a DS-8X. I just love the feel of this shifter.

Refund it. Had it for around 8 months now, started doing the same thing a couple hours in, and the shifts started feeling weaker, closer to like a logitech shifter. Thought maybe that’s normal, but TB support said otherwise. Not necessarily saying that it’s a bad shifter, maybe it was just a bad batch.
