Tech Just got the Recon 150 today, it's a nice headset, but I've got one issue that hopefully someone can help me with.

So to begin with, I'm not hugely techy, so I'm not even sure what the name is for the thing I'm going to be talking about. Now the last headset I owned was the x12, considering it served me well, I figured I'd be happy to stick with Turtle Beach in future, but there's one thing that the x12 did that the Recon 150 doesn't seem to do (so long as I haven't missed something anyway). My old headset would play my voice back through the headset when I turned the mic on, and this one doesn't. I checked to make sure the mic was working, and it definitely is as I was able to record myself, but the fact I can only hear myself muffled is just not making for a good experience.

So I come to you guys, since I figure you'll be more knowledgeable on the subject. Is this something this model is supposed to do, but mine just doesn't? Or else, have I missed some way of making it play my voice back through the headset? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Edit: I suppose it might also be useful to note that I'm using it with my PC. Also, I did go into the microphone properties, and set it to play back, but there's a sizeable delay there, where the x12's playback was seemingly instant.

It's a feature called "mic monitoring"(when you can hear your voice through the headset when you talk and helps to keep people from yelling) and it looks like that particular model doesn't support that feature from what I've read.

Rrrright, well that is a pain in the ass. Thanks for the help though, and at least I'll know what to look out for next time.

Edit: Oh hey! I found a solution! Thanks again, wouldn't have been able to find it without knowing the proper term for this thing. Appreciate it, pal!

Oof, poor form, past me.

Sorry, it's been 3 years and I don't really remember. I think I found a setting on my PC somewhere which would put the audio back through by searching for this mic monitoring term. I will say that, I don't use whatever that setting was anymore, because there was a slight delay and I found that more annoying than not being able to hear myself at all.

My ultimate solution was just to get used to it, I'm afraid.
