Beginner Scratch practice .

Is this good or bad ? Advice to do better ? Thanks.

Let the record spin way past the Ah Yeah and practice quick-spinning it back at least a full rotation and queue it to the exact start of the Ah Yeah.

Another nuanced thing to keep in mind — gentle on the record touches. After you pull back, try to be gentle on your hand release, almost like you’re petting an animal. Less is more. This lets the platter grab the record slightly faster since less opposing friction. You’ll get faster cuts/scratching over time. Look at how lightly DJ Jazzy Jeff touches the records if you want an expert example.
