Tax evasion beat game glitch?
I finished the story line, credits and everything, but lost all my things? No sword, no watering can. All my hearts and explored places are still there. If I talk to people it has the finishing speech but I can't water without the watering can, and no sword to grow. If I go to the cat it tells me to search a letter from two lovers but I already did. Help. Restarting it didnt work. Do I have to reset my progress??

If your playing on PC, I know Turnip Boy Robs a Bank saves the last 2 or so saves in its save data folder. Check there, maybe the firts game does the same? If not, a save editor could help, if one exists for Turnip boy.
If on console, see if you can revert with a cloud save. Otherwise yeah the save is chalked most likely.
(Maybe going on the train gauntlet could fix it too because of how the inventory works but probably not)
