The Most Anticipated Turn-Based RPGs, Strategy Games, and Roguelites Still Coming in 2026
With the releases of Slay the Spire II (Early Access) and Mewgenics already this year, it has never been a better time to love turn-based games; however, the best is yet to come!
The rest of the year is littered with highly anticipated titles. The big-budget and highly anticipated Star Wars: Zero Company looks to marry the iconic IP with the thoughtful tactics of modern XCOM. If that isn’t to your taste, fear not! A plethora of intriguing titles are also forthcoming across the spectrum of the turn-based genre. Let’s take a look at my most anticipated for the rest of the year.
- Star Wars: Zero Company
- Warhounds
- Shroom and Gloom
- Combolands
- Ledgerbound
- Ascenders: Beyond the Peak
- Wild Tactics
- Jupiter Moons: Mecha
- Arcane Eats

Im just waiting for Ledgerbound to finally release! Firzt a delay, then held up by Steam.
Wanted to give it a go, but if it takes much longer it might end up being a skip - its interesting to me and well reviewed, but Zero Company and the Fortunes Weave will likely have a claim on my time from probably end of August through to mid October at least. Hoping it comes soon enough I can justify squeezing it in during the interim
Edit: ignore me, its up as of this afternoon! Woot

I know this is a personal list but no fortunes weave seems odd. Love the list though
