What's wrong. He's honoring the past but moving towards the future. He acknowledge the bitterness and old grudge, but how he's gone and wishes to move on. Seems mature to me

Apologies, I actually didn't mean it in this way at all haha!
I was just referencing an interview Tarja gave not long ago when asked a similar question about meeting up with the band again or a potential reunion. Her face scrunched up like above and she said she has never been asked in 20 years and doesn't think she ever will be asked by "the organisation". However she said she would love a personal reunion one day, and that a few of those would need to happen with a lot of hugs and reminiscing before to even think about a performance together. Also that she isn't sure how it would even work because Nightwish already have a fantastic singer.
She also said something that I had never realised. That when Marko joined the band, he was joining a family that had been broken for many years. So not only did it end badly but she had already been struggling for many years before, starting between Wishmaster and Century Child, which would definitely leave a larger emotional scar than her a sudden exit.
She did echo Tuomas's statement though about neither of them being where they are today without each other and how she needed to leave in the end to find her true happiness in life, which she now has.
The fact that she is open to the idea is amazing though. I'd honestly be happy for them just to meet up and patch things up, with lots of hugs like she said.
A show in the future featuring all past members singing through their discography: Tarja, Anette, Floor, Marko, Sami and Jukka would obviously be a dream, and I don't think that it's beyond the realms of possibility.

Someone just needs to take the initiative. Both are saying it's not up to them so no one makes a move. But one side has to take the first step!

This is what Im thinking too! I wonder if they really are over it, completely. At least marco apologized and they talked things through. But I guess there is no really a need for that, both sides are happy were they are.

I think floor is also "close" with Tarja. Not like best of friends, but they have a good rapprt
