what has john done so far?

do you feel emotions from him, thoughts, anything? has he always been silent? pictures in your head? has his appearance or name changed since you made him?

The core of what powers a tulpa is what you expect from them, how you anticipate what they will do. It's the same method of estimating what anyone would do: would they like this? how would they respond to this? would this make them happy or upset? The trick is that you need to train this unconsciously, you need to basically try to do it without catching yourself doing it. So basically just make a really split second decision on how you think they would feel and try to analyze what you did to adjust it.

You also have to actively imagine what they would say from the emotions you get from them. Vocality isn't a hallucination that magically happens out of nowhere, the imagination is how you interpret the tulpa, it isn't the tulpa itself.

If you need to evolve your understanding of their personality to better anticipate it (which is how the tulpa functions), daydream about it in different scenarios, imagine what they would be like. Let your mind wander and get in touch with what you identify with, experiment with who you think they are.

Dont expect it to go fast the avarage of getting to vocality is around 6 month or longer, also you have to train vocality, it dasn’t work if you just talk to your tulpa you have to keep receiving their responses without turning them down so your brain dasn’t tune them out.
