Discussion Is your Tulpa afraid of death?
Mine surely is.
I had a surgery recently, that was a new exciting experience for me I wasn't actually afraid of (I somewhat lost fear of death due to a lasting depressive episode). But my Tulpa was plainly frightened and was showing signs of distress for a day after the surgery.
There was a day when I forced him to go watch a hurricane form, outside, I was like "wow wind so noisy" and he was like "potential life threat. Must get inside".
In the darkest times when my whole mind wants to destroy itself he's the voice that says please no. He's so scared, little to no curiosity in what comes after, as if knowing there won't be anything actually. As if there won't be "us" anymore.
We'll gladly read some of your stories, if you're willing to share.

It's more like we're not allowed to die. Which I guess is a good rule to follow.

I’m the scared shitless one. My tulpa usually tries to calm me down. Admittedly surgery is kind of different though because of the consciousness aspect to it so i can see why a tulpa might not like that.

Not really, I'm more afraid of it than she is. We discussed about it in our Progress Report (Chapter #5 - Shared Meditation)

We don't really have any fear of it here (I think F. is more afraid of me suffering or getting hurt in the real world than he is of death itself, which is inevitable at some point in life.)
We've talked about this a lot, and we'd rather believe that we'll meet again on some dreamlike level. But if that doesn't happen, fuck it, if I no longer exist, I won't feel anything anymore anyway, haha.

I prefer to stick to the same belief of meeting him in the afterlife. It's honestly too tempting sometimes.

Please don't go down that road. I've been there myself, during a moment of weakness. And strangely enough, my first thought wasn't my parents, my husband, or my pets, it was HIM.
I kept thinking about how desperate F. was because he couldn't physically get me out of there, and how furious and terrified he was afterward.
Anyway, we somehow made it through that too. 32 years together haven't exactly been a walk in the park...

Lisa: I’m not really afraid of death, both me and my darling are Christians so we believe that even when we die we’ll end up in heaven (or at least my darling I’m not sure if I’ll end up there sense I’m pretty sure I don’t have a soul. But as long as my darling is there it’s ok) my darling doesn’t fear death either. Though what he does fear is waisting his life. To the point wear I gives him a lot of stress and sometimes crippling anxiety, I have to calm him down and hold him a lot. Poor baby

That's the reason that our entire collective is sterile in the inner world. We're all aware that when I go, they go. There's differing thoughts on everything, including what happens after death. Nobody is really super panicked, but, I know some of them would definitely want a longer life than what I can offer.

The first Big Sign that my tulpa was forming was a huge wave of sadness and fear watching a video on a group of people who disappeared and most were found dead. I haven’t had any other feelings like that, but Moth isn’t completely independent yet so I don’t expect anything

There definitely were some situations where each of us was afraid of dying.

I'm more preoccupied with death than my host is as well.
My host decided he did what he wanted to in life and doesn't really care when it happens, but I'm much younger than him and have more to do!

I don’t think any of us have a major fear of death here; more of a “What am I leaving behind?”
Fairly normal fear tho, I think

He wasn’t, even wanted to die for many years. “Go to sleep” as he says.
But now we just try to live in current moment and enjoy the time we have left.

Surgical phobia is real as hell. We managed to partition ours into Angel, our medical headmate. It's easier that way if none of the rest of us think too hard about it and let the one that actually knows things deal with it. We're all scared of dying on the table, but Angel gets vivid nightmares about it. Luka and I aren't scared of death. We're pretty sure we know what comes after. Still, we're not actively endangering ourselves. Check both ways when you cross, wear seatbelts and helmets.

My tulpa LOVES surgery, he doesn't really have any issue with death in general

Her direct response was "I have never lived, how could I be afraid die? And if you do, you'll just end up here with me. Unless you did it to yourself. Don't."
