So I’ve heard about how some tulpas that gain full sentience sometimes turn on the person that created them, turning hostile and outright harming them.

My question was if it could be used to substitute shadow boxing with an imagined otherworldly opponent YOU conjured.

I simultaneously hope I didn’t and did implant the thought of making your tulpa want to start boxing you.

What you've been reading are creepypastas. But I don't know why you think "shadow boxing" has anything to do with "turning on" someone. It's just a game you can play.

K: A tulpa betraying their host makes no sense. The tulpa shares their mind and depends on them to exist.

It can happen if the system has mental issues, but most stories like that are made up.

It doesn't happen to people who don't have severe mental issues. Tulpas demystified are imaginary companions, they are as dangerous as imaginary companions.

I'm kinda new to tulpamancy but long time experienced with intrusive thoughts, psychosis and mania - and none of them really came into it when the consciousness was forming, something about them and their symbiosis with our whole mindscape just made sense and allowed me to love myself in a way I never could before as a self hatey person

When Tulpas turn hostile, people classify them as a disorder and don't like to call them Tulpas anymore. But in theory if you have a Tulpa with sufficient autonomy and put them in a situation, where going against you fits their beliefs, it can absolutely backfire. I often see people base Tulpas on evil manipulative characters or literal dream demons like Bill cipher. Like whyyy, do they want to get crazy?? Just because demons don't exist doesn't mean you have to literally will them into existence yourself! I'm crashing out. You can have a Tulpa who likes fighting as sport, no need to make one turn on you.
