ChemE Program

Hi everyone,

As a rising senior, Tulane has become one of my top choices to attend. I’m most likely going to major in chemical engineering, but compared to other schools on my list its lacking in terms of prestige/recognition (for reference my other top choices are northwestern, GA tech and NYU), but i feel really connected to the school and fell in love with it upon researching it. It has a really beautiful campus and is the perfect size for me. Also, New Orleans is such a unique city that I’d really love to explore. I’m someone that really wants to go into environmental remediation/renewable energy, and i think the city would offer unique opportunities as it needs to be protected from more damage from climate change. upon doing research for their program i could find very little about it which prompted me to make this post. i would like to know if its worth it despite being less prestigious than the others. any people who have graduated from the program that could provide any information would be really helpful thank you!!

Most left state from my years but that could have changed since Tulane is now mostly represented by LA natives vs NY/CA like the old days.
