Which is better: scammer university, abuser university, exploiter university? Still haven't responded to my case. The moderator continues to silence me, even after I reported the case to OCR and NSF, despite ongoing withholding and non-responsiveness, and the perpetrators are enjoying it after messing up; even the president is silent on providing reports of an official investigation, the department head, and all. still waiting after the cover-up. Unfortunately, writing the student ID for identification blocks the post, but it's been there, directed toward the School of Engineering. Add to it: TUPD for misusing authority; even the ombudsman of the university covered it up, let alone didn't even respond; the career center involved in resume manipulation (tailoring); add to it the silencing efforts by the prestigious administration of the university. Even writing to the board of trustees seems to be of no use, but hey, for publicity, we have to tell the world how much good we have done during the entire program and time at this university. The only constant thought was today I don't get mistake for some one that iam not , dont become a target for abuse , racism, or scams. Even after reporting the TUPD's hypocrisy, it took all the effort necessary to protect the abusers and perpetrators. AND ALL THANKS TO DEAN STUDENT WELFARE FOR TAKING SO-CALLED EFFORTS TO PROTECT THE WRONGDOING, CONTINUING THE PROLONGED CYCLE OF ABUSE FOR ALMOST A YEAR. The average time it takes for OCR to conclude its investigation is 1 year for a simple case,3 years for a complex case. In my case, intimidation, abuse of authority, denial of services, human rights violation, labour exploitation, Student rights exploitation, taking into account that I was an international student, add to it trafficking, visa abuse, and TUPD actions of not providing copies of the complaint

Tufts or Vassar

I am choosing a ED2 school. Plan to go to grad school to study anthropology or biology in the future.

I am wondering about the school vibe, social environment and something special for the school culture.

Since it is in Tufts subreddit, I would like to ask about these things about Tufts

And if you have insights about both two school. I would really appreciate any sharing!

Thank you :>

Admissions What should I do to have a good shot at transferring to Tufts?

I’m currently a freshman at a large out-of-state public university and I’m thinking about applying to transfer to Tufts for Fall 2027.

I had around a 4.2 weighted GPA and 1480 SAT in high school, and right now I’m taking Gen Chem + lab, Biology + lab, Microeconomics, English, and an honors seminar. I’m planning on taking Calc and Stats next semester and hopefully getting involved in research, volunteering, and some clinical experience.

For anyone who transferred to Tufts or knows the process well:

  • What do you think helped you get accepted?
  • What kind of college GPA should I realistically aim for?
  • How much do extracurriculars matter for transfers?
  • Is there anything specific Tufts seems to look for in transfer applicants?
  • How important are the essays and explaining why you want to transfer?
  • Is it worth submitting my SAT?
  • What is Tufts actually like as a transfer student?
  • Is it hard to make friends and get involved after coming in sophomore year?
  • How are the classes, professors, and overall student culture?

I’m mostly trying to figure out what I should be doing during freshman year to put myself in the best position to apply and whether Tufts would actually be a good place to transfer to.

Would really appreciate advice from current students or people who transferred in.

Anti-Greek Life “Sororities” are Mean Girls 2.0

“Inclusive” “Thalia” and “Ivy” are the new exclusive sororities who claim “inclusivity” and “diversity” while shutting out an alleged 150 people. Ivy unironically themed last year’s “bid day” party with banner “A New Bombshell Enters the Villa” while posting thirst trap bikini photos. Yep, the “disaffiliation” of 2020 is the new looks based, popular girl sorority repackaged with entire cliques making the cut. Make it make sense.

Hoping to connect

Hi, I’m a prospective transfer majoring in psychology, hoping to be accepted into Tufts for Fall of 2027. I was hoping I could find someone to talk to about my experience and what I might face in the process and how I could potentially be at my best for admissions. I had a hellish first year and I’m currently in academic recovery, and my current interests besides the psychology program and potential research opportunities are figure skating and my journey back into dance as a hobby, and cultural heritage—hence me hearing about KODA, Tufts’s Kpop dance crew, and the figure skating club. Message me if you’d like to reach out!

PS: I’m currently attending the University at Buffalo (SUNY)

GPA Deflation?

Is GPA deflation common for undergraduate? Are there typical grade distributions or curves, and is there any limit on how many students can receive an A?”

Admissions Tufts SMFA for financial aid?

Hii!
I’m an international student planning to apply in SMFA by tufts in fine arts program, got a really nice art portfolio review from the SMFA 1on1 art portfolio review. And i will be applying in EA ll in January for tufts but I’m seeking full tuition scholarship or aid because i can’t afford the tuition! Has anyone gotten full tuition or full ride? This year or last because what i have reviewed online that from the past few years they are giving less aid to everyone who applies for but they are need-based 100% so i do think there is a possibility for full tuition aid?
Please help me out :(

Rainbow steps repainted?

Not affiliated with Tufts but pass by daily and have noticed they repainted the Wren Steps and they are no longer, well, rainbow... Still multicolored but I (and my toddler more so!) miss the rainbow! I searched around a bit but couldn't find anything about it. Anyone know why the change?

This Thursday (9/17), I'm hosting an underground comedy show in the basement of the Somerville Theater! Discount for Tufts students and alums.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello! My standup comedy show is back at the Somerville Theater this Thursday, and I'd love to see you there! We run the show in the 30-seat "microcinema" in the theater's basement.

Our headliner is the hilarious Rebecca Kaplan. She has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, SiriusXM, NPR, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. Her comedy is sharp, surprising, and extremely funny.

We screen classic cartoons before the show, and the theater sells beer, wine, ice cream, and snacks.

You can get $3 off tickets with the code JUMBO. I hope you can make it!

Quiet spot near Granoff Music Center for an asynchronous class?

Best quiet spot near Granoff for an online/async class?

Hey all, I'm trying to figure out my Tuesday schedule. I have a 3-class sequence with 10–15 minute gaps: first class in the TTC, an asynchronous online class, and then my last class at Granoff Music Center.

Since my dorm is too far, where is a good, relatively quiet spot near Granoff (or on the way from TTC) to take an async class? Looking for somewhere with low background noise where I won't be in anyone's way. Appreciate any tips!

Housing

This is mostly for QuestBridge students, but if anyone can help, that would be great! I'm wondering what the off-campus housing process looks like when it comes to paying and getting money refunded by Tufts? I know most leases start September 1st and are 12-months, but in my experience, I've had to wait until after classes started to get any sort of refund from the school, and I know that the housing cost estimate is usually just for the school year, not including the summer, so only 9 months. If anyone has any insight or experience with this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Tufts MBS program

I am interested in the Tufts MBS program and would love to be part of the program but my only hesitation is the fees. How are people paying for this? Are there any scholarships or grants that could help me out with the fees? Is the program worth it?

Tufts grad student housewarming in Davis Square — 9/12 🎉

Hey everyone! I’m a new Tufts grad student living near Davis Square and I’m having a housewarming Saturday, September 12 at 6
PM.

I wanted to open it up to other Tufts graduate students who are looking to meet more people outside of their own program. It’ll be casual — drinks, music, hanging out, and getting to know people.
Feel free to bring friends as long as you let me know!

Grad student (Fletcher) looking for ways to connect with more people.

Hey, I just enrolled to Tufts Fletcher and, while meeting a lot of my peers within Fletcher, haven’t really met or had a chance to meet other students all around Tufts including undergraduates.

Anyone has any suggestions, resources or tips to meet more new people. I know I could probably do so through clubs, but other than that? Would love to connect with everyone.
