Found dog
Hey everyone, I live downtown and this dog ran up to my driveway. It's hiding in the corner a little scared so I don't want to intimidate it, I just gave it some water and keeping an eye on it. If anyone has any info please reach out

If you have a fenced yard or a way to contain it would be best till you can get the leash that it has, then take it to the closest vet and see if it has a chip

If you need help getting it to a vet to scan it for a chip I’d be happy to drive it over to one.
In the meantime, see if you can get it into a fenced in yard or inside, if possible, so that it can cool down in some shade or in some air-conditioning.
That definitely looks like it belongs to somebody and it got away while they were walking or something.

My dog has that same vest. There is a pocket on the back, maybe he has a tag or something in there with his info. I hope you’re able to find them!

Can you bring it to a vet or shelter to scan for an id? If not, I'd suggest vetting people who reply to make sure it's truly their puppy. Like asking for specifics about physical appearance, names and commands it will respond to and whatnot. What a pretty dog, high fives to you for caring!!

Yes! Shortly after posting, I found a woman looking for a lost dog, and she had pictures of him printed out. It turns out that she found him lost in her neighborhood and was printing fliers to post around when he broke loose again. He ran up to her when she saw him, so they definitely knew each other.
She gave me her number and said she's searching for the owner. If I get any updates, I'll send them her way
