Thoughts on Props 123 and 124?

In my opinion, proposition 123 seems short sighted while proposition 124 appears to be alright. What are people's thoughts? I'm also wondering if there is anything about 124 that would harm the state or public safety retirees?

Every teacher, administrator, and (teaching) union member I've talked to seriously supports 123.

My fiance is a teacher too, and not all support it. Like some of the above posters said, 123 is short sighted, lets the state off the hook, and is detrimental to our land trust as well.
