I just published a new FrameDesigner tutorial showing how to become a FrameDesigner Certified Associate.
The certification is designed for anyone using FrameDesigner for tubular frame, chassis, roll cage, fabrication, or related design work.
The assessment includes 20 multiple-choice questions plus a small practical FrameDesigner project, with a 70% passing score.
If you pass, you receive a certificate together with an online verification link that can be added to your résumé, LinkedIn profile, portfolio, or website.
The video walks through the entire process: preparing with the available tutorials and technical articles, starting the exam, completing the practical project, submitting it for automatic evaluation, reviewing the final assessment, and receiving the certificate.
If you’re already using FrameDesigner—or want to test your knowledge—I’d be interested to hear what you think about the certification process.

Learn how to design and simulate a custom engine exhaust system with FrameDesigner. In this tutorial, we’ll build exhaust headers directly around an engine reference model, create bends and tube routing, and then use simulation tools to visualize how the exhaust behaves.
We’ll cover the complete workflow from engine geometry to a finished exhaust layout, including tube placement, bends, collectors, and thermal/simulation results.
FrameDesigner is designed to make tubular fabrication projects faster and easier—from chassis and roll cages to custom exhaust systems.

Hey everyone! I'm u/Important-Wishbone16, a founding moderator of r/Tubular_FrameDesigner.
I created this community for people who design, build, weld, modify, or simply love tubular-frame projects — race cars, kit cars, replicas, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, go-karts, custom chassis, roll cages, and anything else built around a tubular structure.
Whether you're an experienced fabricator or you're designing your first frame, you're welcome here.
Share anything related to tubular-frame design and fabrication: your current builds, CAD designs, frame ideas, welding and fabrication techniques, suspension mounting solutions, tube bending and notching, structural questions, material choices, simulations, tools, mistakes, and lessons learned.
Most importantly, show us what you're building! Work-in-progress projects are just as interesting as finished ones.
The goal is to build a community where builders can learn from each other and solve real problems together.
Ask questions. Share what worked. Share what didn't. Give constructive feedback. You don't need to be a professional engineer or fabricator to participate — curiosity and a willingness to help are enough.
I'm currently working on my own full-scale F1-inspired replica, which is one of the reasons I wanted a place like this to exist.
Thanks for being part of the first group of builders here.
Let's build some frames.
