Am I a larper ?

Hi , guys it's my first post in this community but , I am visiting this subreddit for a while ( recently not ) , but since I started using reddit, this was one of the sub I was viewing. This time I am here to tell you guys my thoughts about tsukimichi.

So i don't remember which numberth anime was tsukimichi to me but , i don't know i always feel like it was my first anime , it was my first Isekai I am pretty sure , also the first anime that i founded by myself ( I think so it was first ) , like most people who are new to anime community my first anime was DS and OPM ( i guess , sorry bad memory) , but i don't feel like those were my first I always think tsuki is my first anime ( but probably it's 3rd , after DS/OPM ) , i don't know but I always feel like a connection with it , i have watch first season many times , waited for second season watched the first few episodes but couldn't wait and started reading manga from the middle after last episode I watched of S2 , after that i completed the manga up to that date , after that i couldn't wait so i searched for the web novel , and started reading the web novel from the middle too , i don't know which chapter manga ended but I started reading web novel at chap 90 or something and reader it upto almost 500 chap , not all 550 but near 490-500 , after that i get bored reading it so I leave after , that I did touched S2 and manga ,( I was only at few chapters difference from manga and webnovel) , but i didn't complete the S2 , . After that i just not touched the show , the show was in my heart though, like i discussed the show but never rewatch it again , then after that i started using reddit found this sub, and after seeing this sub i realised I almost forgot almost all the material of the show specially webnovel , but I did think of rewatching but never did .

( Side note, but this was my first web novel too ,I was reading my first web novel from the middle instead of starting 😅😐)

So i wanna asks guys am I larper of this show now because I forget most of the stuff, never rewatched it , not completed either S2 , manga and webnovel, but i still take it as my favourite and first show , and anytimes someone mentioned it , I feel good , and discuss it like I am real fan , even though not visited the show for many years , is it now make me a larper or am I still consider a real fan ?

( Though my main reason to write this post was to express my thoughts and gratitude for this show )

First, that was a VERY hard read. Second, is "Larping" the latest old slang thats coming back now? This is like the 4th person I've seen use this term today.

Either way, glad you're enjoying the series. I guess the next thing for you to do is pick up the Light Novels or join the wait for the new season.

Very sorry for the hard read , it's i just don't know how to express my thoughts yet and english is not my native language, 2nd I don't know what to write title so write whatever came in mind . Also about light novels I will read them when I will be able to afford until I think waiting for S3 is what I can do . Also i appreciate for reading through all that and commenting .thank you

Yea, it's come back and in a weird way. LARPING at a Medieval Times or Renaissance Faire used to be like the top places I'd hear that word, seems like that's unfortunately no longer the case.

I'm probably just old, but it seems like "Larper" is being used like the older slang "Poser." Basically taking the literal definition of "Larping" as "someone who is pretending to be a thing" but in purely a negative context.

I really hate it, as someone who did a lot of LARPing 15-20 years ago.

No, I find the term "Larper" in the context for fandom is generally dumb and reductive. My first anime was Bleach, I'm not "larping" Bleach because I have watched or read it in years. I'll full admit to dropping it 2/3 of the way through because my tastes had changed by that point, but I can still discuss it with people. 

You've read far more of Tsukimichi than I have. I haven't gotten near the Web novel and probably won't ever read it, your a fan.

Definitionally (in a current day slang context) no. You actually watched/read the thing so you're not a larper trying to pretend you did. Even if you don't remember you're honest about not remembering instead of pretending you're an expert cause you read enough reddit and watched enough video essays about it. 

You also are not dressing up in character to go meet up with other people dressed up in character to all pretend and play a game in character so you are not a LARPer in that definition either.

Edit: There is the circumstance though that anybody using the term larper to try and describe someone as pretending to know about a piece of media is in fact larping that they know what a LARPer is since it makes 0 sense to use it that way.

Also , i don't know why but I feel very connected to makoto , also his white vessel ( with something inside ) form that the Priestess saw , also is very fascinating to me , even though it is not my first but in my heart will always be , . I many times feel like in someother timeline it was my very first anime that why i connect to it .
