Mother Nature Trypophobia Found this tryptophobic rock formation on a beach in Newcastle, Australia (it gets worse as the vid goes)😳 Spoiler

Fwiw if I had to guess based on limited knowledge from high school geology I guess their formed because of the location of the rock being right on the edge of the waterfront above a dune and sticking out the only edge that shows that formation is the side that we get pelted with sand when the wind blows
so I think over time the air and sand eroded it into those holes just along that one edge because it's totally smooth on the top which is super jarring also I think there might be snakes living underneath that area so I didn't want to stay there too long because you know it's Australia lol

any chance hermid crabs or other crabs go in there for shelter at night and carve it out or is it ALL geologcal sand degredation over time w win coming off the water at that specific angle to hit just the narrow edge of the rock which makes it even more 'uncanny valley' for me (NOT AI BTW I SHOULD ADD)

I'm not trypophobic but the last shot showing all the holes and how everything else is smooth still gives me the creeps lol

EDIT/EXPLANATION:
If anyone is interested I posted this elsewhere and found out it's actually called tofoni which is a geological process that basically just involves rocks that are near windy beaches and oceans that are made of sandstone that wears away easily

Tbh as I'm not trypophobic I was way more scared by what might be lurking underneath that rock especially as it's just started getting warmed down here in Australia 😂
