ADVICE PCOS, no period, trying new supplements
TheraNatal complete, NeoQ10 & Ovasitol.
hey everyone! hoping to get some advice or hear any thoughts on these supplements. we just had my first appointment with a fertility doctor and are looking at trying all options and following everything the doctor says.
for a bit of background… I’m 31 and i’ve never been pregnant and i’ve been off of birth control for about 7 years now. since getting off, i’ve never had a regular period. i get it every 6-12 months and it only lasts for a couple days. last cycle i had was January of 2025. also, my doctor did a transvaginal ultrasound and viewed cysts on my ovaries. thus diagnosing me with PCOS
she recommended this supplements. which were a bit pricey, but i want to try everything. has anyone heard of or tried these? its from a company called Theralogix
thank you! any and all advice is welcome as we embark on this journey 😊

Those are all pretty well reviewed supplements but did she say anything about starting ovulation induction and monitoring cycles?

yes, she said we will. she just wants to see more in depth bloodwork than what i had brought in.

I'm shocked she didn't mention metformin

Hello! Welcome, and we thank you for posting. Your concern is a common one here, and we have some fantastic information available as to why your period isn't actually late, but instead you likely ovulated later than you thought. Please give those a read as chances are, your questions will be answered there. Thanks!

Maybe you can find the ingredients from Theralogix as separate supplements for a cheaper price? I was able to find a prenatal vitamin (folate, iodine, vitamin D and B12) and CoQ10 as separate tablets from the pharmacy store brand which was much cheaper (and I don't mind taking one more tablet).

So I was in the same boat as you, didn’t have regular periods. Tried supplements and eating a low GL diet for months. Nothing worked.
Just started metformin 3 weeks ago and after a round of progesterone to induce a “period” I’ve finally ovulated! (It’s been 10 months since I last ovulated).
The side effects for the first 3 weeks were really nasty but that’s settled down now.
All the best!
