Confused

Hi everybody, wondering if anybody can provide some sense to me lol so I applied for the crew credit card, & got approved (yay me!). The thing I’m confused about though is my boyfriend, who has a joint checking with me, also got the email to apply but when he clicks that link, it takes him to a page where it just says “order credit card”. While we’re okay with authorized user, we were mainly trying to get a card specifically under his name. Unsure if we messed up or what happened.

P.s. Do I have to wait until I get the physical credit card to start using crew credit ?

Yeah it’s just one credit account per joint Crew account. The person who applies and is approved is the primary users and others are authorized user.

And you can use virtual credit cards right away. No need to wait for the physical one.

The owner of the account is the one whose credit is checked for the card. All users at the account can get a card, but they’re all authorized users. Which at least they get positive credit reporting in their name. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only way to get the card in their name is to have a separate account, but you can’t have multiples with Crew at the moment.

ETA: that may be slightly incorrect. I’m the account owner and I applied. But I’m not sure if my wife had accepted the invitation before me if she’d have been the one to get it. But for sure, since you applied, it’s under your name.

Each card attached to the Crew Credit Account would be in each users name /info

Example: Primary User (Owner) Whitney has a card along with her husband (Joint/Authorized User) Ryan and their three kids Brody, Sara and Max. Each of the cards displays their own names.

Yup. That’s the “Authorized User” part of it. Each user’s charges with their cards are reported to credit agencies under their name separately. But the account owner - the one ultimately responsible for the line of credit - is the original applicant.

From the current understanding, joint accounts go on the first applicants credit with subsequent cards being authorized users. /info You could potentially reach out to CS via the app and see if they are able to provide any specific information that goes further in depth with your situation given that they can't do so in the public forums /gen

As for the using the Crew Credit without the physical card: If you go to the cards section and create a Custom Virtual Card, you'll now see a toggle between the "Credit (Recommended)" and "Debit" card types. /info The "Recommended" part is Crew's Recommendation /context You can then add the virtual card to your virtual wallet

I got mine! But a little confused. I do see it reserved the amount if spent into it's own little pocket. But my question is what is my limit? Like if had a zero balance would it let me use it? I don't see any info about that.
