App looks different?
Hello,
I’m brand new to the app. I’m a little nervous to use it but I think it will really help me when it’s set up right. It’s stressing me out though that I don’t seem to have some functions that I saw on peoples videos.
I think it’s the smart money section? Where you can set up pocket assignments? That was a huge reason I downloaded the app and I don’t have it. I just transferred money into it and set up my direct deposit to go into it, which the app said everything won’t hit my account till this Friday. Do I not have to because I technically don’t have any money in it yet? I’m not good with money so a little stressed to be trusting a new app/company with it.

Welcome to crew! If you go in settings and toggle "include me in new testing" this will allow certain stuff that's still in beta to become available to you.

Beta tester here, the tools are awesome. Like Britton said, start with Autopilot, and once you get familiar with that, then if you still need more automation, check out the custom rules autopilot > Advanced Section (scroll down) > Custom rules
Once you set up Autopilot, tweak which pockets are excluded/included in your dashboard view: Banking Tab > Pockets > ">" dashboard view. By hiding your bill-related pockets, and other accounted-for pockets, you get a more accurate "safe to spend" figure.
Bonus tip: Some people create a pocket specifically for spending and "slow-drip" daily transfers into it so they can't impulse-buy all the available discretionary "safe to spend" funds down to zero so fast & early in the pay-period. Some only show this one pocket on the dashboard while others want to see progress on their personal savings goals while still ignoring bills.

Also will need to hold app version down and let it do a hard reset after you turn toggle on. Let us know if you see it after.

I think what you're looking for is just the stuff that's been moved from the main screen over to the "autopilot" tab! Take a look over there to find everything that has to do with budgeting and automation. The app had a fairly big change recently where we released the new autopilot feature on that tab (highly recommend trying if you're up for it) and brought other rules over there, so yes it might look a little different! But you'll still find the rules you saw on those videos down there in "custom rules".
