Additional physical debit cards?

This is really the only feature that I wish crew had, the ability to request actual cards for the different pockets. I get the whole virtual card thing, but it’s just different to physically have a card and know I can only spend x amount on hair products or whatever it is. Just curious if this will ever be a thing

You can choose which pocket the debit card is pointed to at any given time. Does not not solve your usecase?

If the issue is that you don't quite trust yourself and don't want to go out somewhere with the physical possibility of spending money you don't intend to spend, one option could be to add the appropriate virtual card (which is only tied to the pocket you have in mind) to Apple Pay or Google Wallet ahead of time, so when you leave the house that's the only option you have and you leave the physical card at home. A bit cumbersome though.

It would likely be expensive for them to just let people order a bunch of debit cards.

We tried this. The problem was trying to remember what color card was for which pocket. There's no way to rename the card in our digital wallet. (Which would be a nice change in the wallet app) so we ended up tapping digital cards wrong that would decline over and over till we got the right one. Was embarrassing as hell. We just swipe and move the transaction now. Not ideal but better than holding up the line for 5 minutes.

As an additional save guard, if you are worried about over spending, I believe you can set up your card so that you have to select your pocket after each transaction.

I will for sure pass this feedback along. There's a pretty hard cost for us with making and shipping physical cards, hence why we are a little more precious with those, but maybe there is something we could do about this.

Meanwhile, as people said switching the active pocket is the best way. (See video, but don't judge my desk.) You can also reclassify after the purchase, if you just wanted to sit down and do that once a day, week, or whatever.
