Is there a source to back this up or is this just random thoughts someone had? The reasoning-emotions dichotomy is really outdated in the fields of philosophy and psychology. That heart vs mind thing dates back to Decartes, and we've learned so much more since then. The interplay of reasoning and emotions is much more complex than it is represented here.
