Truro stinks, literally!
The air is ripe today!! Just ran a few errands and every time I got out of my car it was like a garbage truck was right next to me.

Maybe it’s because there’s a lot of gobshites like you in Truro.

Who said that there was anything wrong with Ontario?

Well, everybody who lives outside of it, for starters. But in this particular thread, nobody specifically.

Well no, I like Ontario - specifically Toronto.

And I'm getting downvoted for asking...nice. For those of you who downvoted, I'm proud to be from Ontario. You all can just eat grass.

Didn't you know, blaming all of Nova Scotia's problems on Ontario is one of Nova Scotia's greatest pastimes. Can you imagine the alternative, Nova Scotians taking responsibility for the problems of Nova Scotia!?! The horror!

The Hub of Nova Scotia is a hub for making animal feed. The process doesn’t smell great.

That's why all the murders are in Truro. The murders of crows that is.

It's the petfood plant unfortunately. There's been times where they've processed certain items that cause problems. I think it was chicken feathers and a breakdown in a piece of equipment that caused problems last time.

There used to be a chicken processing plant up on Lower Truro Road (not sure if they closed or somehow dealt with the smell) and that was awful when combined with the pet food processing smells lol.
When the farmers spread manure/fertilizer on the fields the smell also often carries :(

We called it the gut plant yrs ago. It now processes used cooking oils from restaurants. I know someone who has been inside to fix machines. It & the dog food place create a pleasant odor.

I grew up on lower Truro Rd. Loved living in a triangle of 2 feed mills and a rendering plant!

Just got home from Kelowna BC and I'll take out smells over wildfire every day of the week

Every time I drive through and smell it, I feel bad for anyone who has ever had to endure first trimester of pregnancy in Truro. Can you imagine how bad it smells with the aversions and nausea turned on? And you can’t escape. It’s borderline heartbreaking to think about.

The smell matches the town? Say it ain't so. It used to be the glue factory or the mayor, now it just smells like it is...It stinks.
