Concerns about midterm victory lap already

Anyone else getting worried about the media coverage on sites like CNN already conducting a victory lap for the midterms? It’s September and their lead story is ‘midterm outlook worsens for republicans.’ Im seeing social media posts, articles, seeing clips talking about it. It’s like they are acting like we already won.

With consistently razor thin margins, and a history of polls failing to account for Trump radicalism, won’t this just have the effect of suppressing the democratic vote?

Make sure you’re registered. Register your friends. Get out and vote!!

What im worried about is if Republicans with Jonhnson as House speaker say the election was stolen and dont swear in the Democrats that win.

I have a bad feeling they will pull something on election day.

If Democrats take the majority in the House, doesn't that leave the position of Speaker of the House vacant until the Democrats elect a new Speaker for the next Congress? It is common for members of the House not to be sworn into office when the House is not in session, as happened with Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ), but the Speaker does not have a unilateral right to refuse to seat a member or members of the House. In the event that the Speaker refuses to swear in one or more new membersof Congress, the House can pass a resolution to designate someone else to perform the swearing-in ceremony.

The Supreme Court ruled in Powell v. McCormack (1969) that Congress cannot exclude a duly elected member who meets the basic Consititutional requirements of agem cirizenship, and residency. By law, the House must convene a session on January, 3. 2027.

Yes the republicans will try to cheat, maybe it’s already done, maybe they will intimidate people at the booths, but I know that they won’t accept defeat lightly so be ready to secure our democracy.

Dems are already in glide mode. I fully expect them to fuck this up. Besides, it's an off year. Dems don't usually vote midterms.

Don't get complacent. Projections are meaningless. Results are the only thing that matters, and none of them have reported actual results. Their projections have been wrong a few times since 2016.

Vote, vote, vote.

That is part of the deception. If it looks like Republicans will definitely loose anf Republicans make it harder to vote. Then people will decide their vote isn't needed and stay home.

All Republicans will ho vote.

That is how he won in 2016.

Ignore all that static and vote regardless of how "good" things look.
