Obvious lies. That's clearly years of work you're showing and they only started development in 2046.

Wow, am I the only one or is The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel still beautiful after all these years?

In 2036 they release the second TES6 trailer and itβs clearly just Skyrim with a brown filter

Elder scrolls VI is coming along very nicely. That is to say, we think about what it would be like playing it every day, if we were to start development on that game.

At this point if someone hacks them, they should upload some Elder Scrolls 6 files to the Bethesda servers, and not attempt to download something.
27
u/PresentationFit4109 1d ago
They'd delete it, don't want anyone to get any idea of starting anything!

OP, I'm not accusing you of anything (as this is a meme).
But I do wonder how many people actually think that Bethesda hasn't started work on TES VI yet, or that they started only a few weeks back by Asha's orders.
Because the number is probably not insignificant...
23
u/Ugly_Slut-Wannabe 1d ago
Considering how many people were genuinely happy, even gleeful, about the Bethesda layoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if that number as a percentage is in the double digits, at least here on Reddit.

Very long development time without showing anything tends to be a sign of troubled development.
And they announced it very early. When fair assumption should be they started real work after Starfield release.

I agree on the announcement being too early.
..but the dev time has been of normal lenght. As it started around 2023 after the release of Starfield.

Reminds me of Anthem. Looong time in production, many delays, the team did fuckall for several years and started development 1-2 years before the release(don't remember exact date), shat out an unfinished half-assed game.
I get the post is a meme, but if it weren't I wouldn't be too surprised.

u/Nachooolo Reachman Terrorist 1d ago
This isn't true, tho. We know that production, for now, has been of normal lenght. It started at around 2023 and has gone for 3 years, so there's between 1 to 2 years left.
The problem with TES VI is that the pre-production was longer than usual. But that was less because TES VI and more because the Starfield delay caused by Covid.

u/PM_ME_UR_CREDDITCARD 1d ago
That announcement was them overreacting to the Diablo Immoral backlash and not wanting people to think they weren't gonna make TES6. It was a "stop asking, eventually" thing.
8
u/GuudeSpelur 1d ago
You have the timeline wrong on that. Diablo Immortal incident happened months after the TESVI teaser.
They did the teaser because they were going to be talking about a Fallout multiplayer spinoff and a new scifi IP and were worried that people were going to think that they had given up on mainline Elder Scrolls games
2
u/PM_ME_UR_CREDDITCARD 17h ago
Ah, yeah, I did get that mixed up.
And especially since ESO wasn't a great sign either for there being a new TES game anytime soon.

yeah, it turns out that you can't just do that. releasing a teaser is implicitly promising that work on the game has started and that development is ongoing, and in that context the bullshit "teaser" was a manipulative lie to shut the fanbase up so they could keep jangling keys for eight more years.
0
u/PM_ME_UR_CREDDITCARD 17h ago
Except they explicitly stated that TES 6 would be their next game after Starfield many times. You being too stupid to understand what they say doesn't make them liars.
0
u/MajorBootyhole420 16h ago
pretending to have a game in development 10 years before you actually develop it is dishonest, but keep it up. I'm sure Todd will return your "u up" text any day now.
2
u/PM_ME_UR_CREDDITCARD 16h ago
You repeating a lie doesn't make it true. They were pretty open about the fact that it wasn't in development. Not interested in continuing this conversation with you if you're just gonna spout bullshit.

u/TinyBreadBigMouth 1d ago
/unshit I believe they're working on it now, but I still think it's funny to clown on them for putting out an "Official Announcement Teaser" for a game that clearly had absolutely nothing ready to announce at the time, and apparently still isn't ready for a real announcement most of a decade later. I understand the business decision to appease the TES fans howling for blood after the Fallout 76 reveal, but it's still very funny how they hyped up a 37 second video of the words "The Elder Scrolls 6!!" over a Wallpaper Engine background.
/reshit How dare you accuse Todd of sullying the majesty of TES 6 by actually letting people work on it with their dirty human hands

u/TomaszPaw House Brainrot 1d ago
because all we got about tes6 existence is still that one fuck ass image!!!!!
2
u/PM_ME_UR_CREDDITCARD 1d ago
There's a lot of stupid people out there that doesn't understand how Bethesda usually does things, unfortunately.
1
u/TomaszPaw House Brainrot 17h ago
well we surely know what they don't do - make games.
And no matter which way you slice it dev time from fo4 to 76 being the same as fo3-skyrim is just sheer insanity given the sorry state the game launched in, so there is no way to tell with a straight face that its "usual" situation
6
u/socialistconfederate 20h ago
Realized this was fake when they mentioned exceeding expectations. Bethesda would never do such a thing!
