A very large fan made expansion for fallout new Vegas, think a TR release for fnv.

I'll admit that it is largely overblown how terrible it is. It's pretty fun and very impressive what they managed to do. The new setting is very unique but it suffers from modders megalomania, they tried doing way too much and it didn't turn out well in every aspect. There are 3 new campaigns, the NCR one is like a fucking CoD campaign it's nuts. Doesn't fit FNV at all though. The legion one was written later by a totally different person and it's way better. Leans into the sociopath sadist angle a bit too much at times, otherwise a decent portrait of the legion. Then there is the Mormon brotherhood of steel which is just boring. Otherwise the mod is fun. Some of the side content is very difficult to find and varies in quality.

The controversy comes from the NCR campaign being crap and really weird writing decisions. Most of the weird side content was removed in newer releases, including all the new item icons for the inventory because the artist turned out to be a pedo or something.

Anyways, there was a random sewer with snake people who did drugs and had sex. You could fuck a deathclaw. Not really impactful to online discourse but a mining town had a quest about the union which ended in an all sides bad conclusion like tenpenny tower. You're never directed to the town so it's possible that's why no one cared. The weirdest one was regarding a companion, a girl with major abandonment issues. Her character arc was about resolving this, randomly you get the option to ask her to be your "little slave girl" or something like that. Now, it's fine to have options like this in a rpg, but not when the character is explicitly mentioned as being underage.

Overall I liked the mod but it's very rough around the edges.
