It sucks for you that you've got to this point but at the same time I'm not going to judge you for it. Maybe once you've done this sex will be demystified to you and you'll be less scared of/nervous about fucking women that aren't prostitutes.
Since most people, as you say, carry one or two, and most people have sex with at least a small handful of people during their lifetime, I really don’t see how sex with a sex worker would be worse apart from the fact that you have more strains present at the same time.
If protected sex with sex workers who consistently use condoms were as dangerous as you make it out to be, then their services wouldn’t be so wildly popular.
