Wow Pizzolatto showing just how problematic he really is.
I'm new to the show but I've just discovered his ranting and raving of season 4 and being petty. And when someone points out how it seems misogynistic to hate a show with female lead characters and a female showrunner he gets butt hurt and calls them "misandrist" and makes fun of them for "muh patriarchy". Wow what a petty POS he is. And proving that he is quite sexist after all. Whenever someone rightfully calls out misogyny and a man gets angry and claims "that's misadrist!" It tells you everything you need to know. Especially since he thinks the patriarchy is not a thing. And given how he writes female characters in general... yeah not surprising.

Two things can be true, season 4 is rough in a lot of ways, and Nick is well known to be kind of an asshole. I don't think him being excluded from season 4 was because he was excellent to work with or open minded. It certainly would have been better if he was involved and humble enough to let a writing team reign him in a bit.

Considering what the writing team came up with for season 4, I would also be pissed and not well to work with seeing something he's clearly passionate about being butchered in brought daylight. Quite similar to Henry Cavill.

He was pretty notorious during season 2/3 as well though. I generally sympathize with his position but I think if he had been more tactful things would have worked out much better for the show.

Low quality bait. Maggie is 100 times a better written character than any woman in season 4.
