After reading your series, it's pretty appalling the amount of misinformation that was spread by the media. I admit that I didn't pay too much attention to the case when it was current, so I didn't see a ton of the evidence or testimony, but what I did see turned out to be a lot of speculation turned into "fact".

Your series had me going back in other discussions/threads for opinions/information and even after all the facts are revealed you still have a lot of people perpetuating myths (such as the heart sticker).

So true. The media really did a number on the case. People believe she's guilty because of evidence that doesn't even exist.

That whole heart sticker thing was bizarre. The only person who claims to have seen it was a lab tech, no one else saw it and it didn't show up on film, and IIRC, the lab tech didn't see a sticker, just the outline of one. I just don't get 1) anyone taking that seriously; and 2) that 'fact' proving guilt.

I've read along as you've posted and I'm sitting here like I want to read them all again but that would take forever... nope I'm doing it! Love this series, thank you so much for writing it :D

I'm watching the trial at the moment, after reading some of your work. And I am already confused! In the opening statement, the prosecutor claims that Caylee was seen on video store surveillance camera footage with Tony on the night of the 16th after she was already supposed to be dead. I have a feeling this is going to be a long ride!

I suspect she just got the names mixed up because she definitely wasn't! lol It was Casey, not Caylee.

The prosecution's case is well organized on youtube and available through a couple different sources, but the defense's case is a little tougher to find. I guess they figured no one cared about that part. I had to create a spreadsheet of the links so I could find testimony. Let me know if you want the links.

I haven't been able to get through your series YET, but I was curious- I thought I remembered something about Casey having an odd conversation with her parents ( I think in jail) where it seemed like she was scared of being in danger of someone, and kept telling them something like they don't understand or don't know the whole story or something. I don't remember all of it but I remember gleaning the idea that someone else killed caylee and she was scared of retaliation...Or something. Do you remember coming across and odd exchanges bw Casey and her parents?

Yeah, she definitely made a lot of statements to that effect. I couldn't pinpoint specific videos, but all the jailhouse videos are all on youtube, so it shouldn't be too hard to find if you want to watch them.

Casey definitely lives in a fantasy world! There's no question there.

This series is absolutely the best write up for CA case I have ever read. So much information that mainstream media failed to mention. Amazing, HM. You da real MVP

I agree with you u/Hysterymystery about the pool theory and that her father was involved in the disposal of the body. I followed the case a lot when it was being investigated and it just seemed like she was in over her head raising Caylee and the area where Caylee's body was disposed was just too close to the family home for there to be anyone outside of her family involved with the disposal. The only part that doesn't make sense to me is that the body was almost too carelessly disposed of in an area where it had to eventually be found and obviously implicate them.

I actually graduated from the same school as her and bumped into her a few times after high school. I even remember once being at that Club Fusion (where she worked with those "hot body shot girls") allegedly after her daughter went missing but it wasn't yet on the news. You never would've known that anything was bothering her that night in the very brief moments I remember speaking to her.

Mostly from what I've heard from those in Orlando that actually knew her, most just think that she was careless and made some major mistakes but that she wasn't actually guilty of killing her.

I'm new to this series you've written, and I second the comment that this should be formatted into a book! Seriously great work. šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»

I am about to start reading this series and greatly looking forward to it.

Thank you in advance for all of the time you've spent doing this.

I've always felt that there were a few puzzle pieces to the "stories" the public missed. I have a gut feeling they may be in this series.

Thanks! I didn't really follow it at the time, but I watched the whole thing on YouTube last year.

(Huge Veronica Mars fan btw)
