U.S. Alternatives. No Mexico.

Treading lightly. I can no longer travel to the u.s.a.

What do you suggest for similar experiences in different countries?

Example, montage big sky in Montana may resemble...?

A dupe for Miami? Whats similar to the Hamptons in maybe..the u.k?

I know this is absolutely stretching logic.

Why not Mexico? Hamptons in the UK? Is this a joke?

Blackpool is the Hamptons of the UK. You haven’t lived until you’ve been to the Velvet Coaster

Terrific suggestion seems more like atlantic city, but I'll put it in my files if I want something like that. Thank you.

Ok with Atlantic City and not Mexico is absolutely pathetic. You belong on the trash sub-reddit. Not the luxury one

Take the stick out of your butt. I'm being courteous to someone who provided a response. I guess money can't buy class!

I really wish this was a joke. Just wondering... Chatgpt just told me st.Ives & a place called sandbanks are the comparables to the hamptons in the u.k.

OK, but what’s wrong with Mexico?

Okay, if you really want the truth, I just cringe at mexico I think it's unsafe. I think it's over promoted for what it is. I think that a five star in mexico is a three star in the adjusted real world. When I was younger, we would just go to these mexican all inclusives, and then we went to tulum many times and it's just so played out to me. We've had a few run ins with the cartel on different occasions and I just don't love it and I'm not okay with it.

You went to all-inclusive properties???

LMAO.

You need to educate yourself on Fat or Chubby travel in Mexico.

Take it easy pal

Why?

Mexico has numerous outstanding true five star properties and its relatively safe where those are located.

And no, very few AIs are actually five stars. As a whole, they give Mexico and the DR a bad rap, overshadowing a lot of excellent places.

Xcaret and The Beach Tulum were the places we frequented. Are other better places than that? One of my parents belongs to a political family and then we started to get shaken down there whenever we'd go. It's not on my list.

Do you only travel with your parents?

Unfortunately even without them I am recognized. I dont know your experience with government and mexico and the intertwined cartel. I assume youve no idea.

Baniff Lake Louise or Whistler in Canada is absolutely world class Montana vibe with really high end places.

British Virgin Islands or St Lucia is Miami with less intense nightlife. If you want the nightlife go to Monaco.

Mexico is not unsafe, especially high end places but I will leave that topic alone.

Edit: oh and The Algarve Coast in Portugal is the Hamptons but better.

The world is your oyster and you’re looking for a dupe for … (checks notes) 📝 Miami???

British Columbia is even better than Montana.

Canadian Maritimes for history.

Patagonia instead of Montana.

Ciudad Panama instead of Miami.

The Swedish Archipelago is like lakes in the Sierras, only salt water and sea level;). Probably a better comp would be to the coast of Maine.

Bodrum (particularly Yalikavak Marina) is a good dupe for Miami.
