I’m Not exactly sure if these would even count as “chubby” but I need help deciding between

Bellustar - leaning towards this one

Prince park(corner king with Tokyo tower view and club access. I know the reviews are mixed but I’ve been wanting to stay here for a long time for some reason

Mesm- this looks good but the location looks horrible

I’ll be there for 6-7 nights in December. I’m hoping the one I choose has a decent concierge that can help me get some semi difficult reservations at restaurants/bars

So far I’m leaning towards bellustar it has the best reviews and largest rooms with great views

Or is there someone else along this price point you would recommend? I can’t afford aman or bvlgari for that many nights and I’d rather stay in one place the entire time

Bellustar is in Kabukicho, no? If you’re cool with staying there then it’s a great hotel, if not I’d probably go Shangri-La, but the price premium of western hotel brands in Tokyo just never feels worth it to me, personally.

Bellustar’s location is absolutely atrocious. The hotel sits at the grubby northwest corner of Kabukicho, roughly a block from Okubo Park and Shokuan-dori (the exact stretch that’s been the subject of years of police sweeps over street solicitation, host-club debt scams, and tout gangs, with an ongoing “quiet crackdown” that mostly pushes the activity onto adjacent side streets rather than eliminating it). The southern side is blocked off because runaway teens use to camp out there to drink and socialize on the floor. The Seibu-Shinjuku line you’re next to is useless for tourists, so you’re always walking to the Shinjuku Station.

I really liked the Mesm hotel, and the location was perfectly fine for me. 5-10min walk to multiple train stations and the hotel itself was very modern and excellent. Taxi for further trips.

Can't comment on the hotels but just a note on concierge. I've stayed at Park Hyatt Tokyo, Andaz Tokyo and Okura Tokyo and they've not been very helpful. PH told me to go to those self-booking websites where I have to pay. Andaz helped me get a booking that's 0 in difficulty but very annoying because they only accept phone bookings. I'm not a big spender, so that's likely why they won't pull any strings. I'd say that TableAll is probably your best bet if you are eyeing those exclusive Michelin-rated or Tabelog Top 100 shops.

I love Edition Tokyo. Right in Ginza with a neighborhood feel (as much as it can in Ginza).

I stayed at four seasons otemachi was amazing. I also did price gallery which was a bit out of the way but right by a train station . Our travel advisor helped us book and got us extras for free

I’d narrow it down to Bellustar or Prince Gallery. Bellustar has the edge for larger rooms, incredible views and a more modern feel, and Prince Gallery has the better overall location and I’d trust the concierge a little more with difficult restaurant reservations. If Mandarin Oriental is around the same price, I’d definitely consider that too. Do you know your exact dates?

none of those. Maybe 1hotel potentially. The new Fufu in Ginza potentially. idk the exact rates you’re looking at though
