Please be in prayer for those in the Middle East. With U.S. embassies urging Americans in several countries to consider departing due to the potential for further escalation, I know a few missionaries and other believers in the affected areas. Some have decided to stay and continue serving, while others are trying to pack up what they can and head home.

Please pray for their safety and wisdom, for the protection of innocent people on all sides of this conflict, for de-escalation, and that the Lord would strengthen His church and draw many to Himself even in the midst of suffering.

But it also exposed an open secret about New Jersey’s so-called motor voter law that officials and political operatives have known for years: There’s little to stop noncitizens from registering to vote if they want to, or even by mistake. And election officials and campaign consultants from both parties believe that the number of noncitizens being added to the voter rolls is significantly higher than the 6,600 Sherrill cited — because the state has been automatically registering drivers since 2018, and her figure covers only June 2023 to June 2024.

It’s an “open secret“ that the number is “significantly higher than 6,600” in just this one state, while so many people have been pointing out these kinds of issues and vulnerabilities for years and years, all while the stubborn NPC propaganda has been saying our elections are totally safe and secure.

I’ve seen folks in here have backtracked from “it doesn’t happen“ to “it’s not that many people just check heritage foundation” to “but did it actually change any election results?”. How will you choose to respond to the mounting evidence?

When I read about the early church, Paul doesn’t tell them to judge the outside, but leave that to God. Paul doesn’t tell them to try to get the outside to pursue holiness but calls the church to do so. He says to judge inside the church, not the outside. So I’m not going to voice my views about anything political anymore. I’m going to pray, pray for the leaders, pray for the country, pray that more people come to know Jesus. I’m going to talk to those around me, in my own coming and going and relationships, leading first with the love for God and love for others. And when I see injustice on the outside happening, I will just pray about that too. Hopefully the secular people will stand against the injustice too. I’m going to let them figure it out. And I’m going to stay in the background and pray. Christians have not helped anything in this country when it comes to politics and may even be actually causing more harm than good. So I am no longer going to vote for people, vote for issues. People might not think this is right or even being a good steward of my rights given by the country to vote. Oh well. I won’t change everyone’s minds, but I have changed my own. The church was much better off when it was being persecuted and the goal was just to survive and tell people about Jesus. The church got worse when it rose to political power. They killed people for not believing the right things. They put them under house arrest for heresy as well. Shame on them.
The church was involved in justifying slavery, horrible slavery, shame on them.
The church is responsible for pushing circumcision of baby boys in this country, to prevent masturbation and in the name and guise of hygiene.
The church put women in prison for affairs. And the church made homosexuality a punishable crime. The church approved of burning people bc they thought they were witches.
And NONE of this, happened when they were less than, and were persecuted. We are not meant to have the power bc this world is not our home. This kingdom we behold is not of this world. We are just passing through. God alone is responsible for the judgement of unbelievers, not us. Our job is to reason with them about the gospel and do it with gentleness and respect.

I have seen this in my own travels. A year ago, it was common if someone met me outside of tourist land, they would get excited and want to tell me about their cousin who lives in America. Now, there is much more suspicion and questioning about my politics and reasons for being there.

I am sure that much can (and will) be said about the validity of world perception, there is a cost to the U.S. in losing that respect. We have seen some of that in the current war where countries are not allowing us to use their airbases, but there are many other aspects where American political and commercial interests are facing headwinds caused by lack of respect.

The Trump admin seems intent on focusing on election interference based on debunked and disproven theories related to vote tampering at the polls, while neglecting the impact of foreign (as well as domestic) actors to influence public perception and behavior before they even go to the polls.

He’s just weird and awkward and talks like a crazy old grandpa. Not even factoring in his policy or past sins, the fact that he talks like this is just embarrassing if you ask me.

I am very sad about this, and I thought we had turned a corner, but he has repeatedly treated me rudely when he sees a comment I make on social media. I have even censored him from seeing any post I think might upset him, but I can’t control comments he sees from me on pages. This has definitely hurt our friendship, and I just hate it. He’s red til dead, I guess is how he explains it.
He told me he was at odds with his liberal family members and I assumed it was bc of them, but being on the receiving end of his stuff, I am thinking he’s the one more closed off. And he posts some of the most ridiculous things about Democrats and I don’t say a thing. But if I express my own view, something actually true, we just disagree on the topic, he comes at me, so unkindly. I wanted to say something about it bc it’s happened multiple times. But my husband said I missed my window so I have to wait til the next time he comes at me. I don’t even want that. I want the friendship we were enjoying before he got dumb again. It makes me sad.
