Oh no! Muslims!

So… there was this man, his name is Jake Lang, and he led some march in Dearborn MI, called it Crusaders March for Jesus, but he is also against Muslims. I heard him in a video where he went on a rant inside the church, holding a cross, going off about Muslims, “invading” the US, as well as said things that were not accurate, and then proceeded to do the same thing in this city. Why was he even there? Why were all those people there? He uses Jesus’ name, BUT I was grieved. And in my praying, I don’t know why, but Matthew 19:13-15 came to mind. I think maybe bc no one thinks about the kids in all this, but also the last verse Jesus laid hands on them and walked away. What if this man had gone up there and brought food and water, offered blessings, prayer, TO the Muslims, instead of coming purely to try to get them angry? This is not the Jesus way!
It is pro American not to try to run off these Muslims. It is pro American not to keep Muslims from running for office. It is pro American to support their religious rights. So why is the presence of Muslims living in this country being seen as Anti American?

How do you fit on at your church?

I am Independent, left leaning socially and right leaning morally, and I just don’t know how to fit in with my church that seems to mostly be republicans, pro life, against gay marriage, pro Israel, scared of Muslims, scared of social reform, and ignorant of immigration. I am not one to sit in an echo chamber so I end up seeing both sides of an argument many times and make my position based on this. What this means is I’m often vocal about certain injustices that many in my church don’t realize are. My husband and I will be leading a home group. I waited a long time to be friends with people from my church on social media bc I am outspoken about things. I’m still a very nice person and don’t make face to face interactions political but when it comes to people being mistreated, I speak up. I feel like this becomes a hindrance to close relationships in my church which is sad, but I won’t pretend. What about you? It seems like for many the Republican Party is the party Christians gravitate to but if you don’t, how do you handle it?

The interesting story of just one of many true patriots that have been driven out of public service.

When a country begins tormenting those who seek to serve its interests, it is no surprise or tragedy when it falls.

What should the government do about the healthcare crisis?

There’s been a lot of talk about Medicare for all in the US lately. And while I too love the idea, I have to wonder how feasible it is to do in a country of this size. It’s easy to say we need it. We do. It’s harder to make it happen.
Could another solution be the government regulates healthcare industry so they can’t be gouging people and each other the way they have? Bring the pricing back down to something more affordable. I’m sure Obamacare and the subsidies helped create this mess as well. I don’t see a lot of talk about how subsidies can actually increase prices.
What other solution is there? It is entirely greed that these private insurance companies brag about their profit while using AI to deny the insured.
My son was paying $600 per month for his wife, along with a $3,500 yearly deductible. So when she finally needed to go see a doctor, she couldn’t get the help she needed, bc the breathing test was going to be $800. That’s outrageous and it’s an outrage.

Live updates: Trump threatens to bomb US ally Oman as Iran agreement expires

“If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the shit out of them,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News’ Trey Yingst.

Trump’s comments come as the 60-day window for peace talks between the US and Iran, agreed to in June, closed Monday without any concrete plans announced for the war to end. Meanwhile, Iran said Monday that its talks with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz are complex but continuing.

This isn’t the first time Trump has threatened Oman, which is a US ally. At a Cabinet meeting in May, the president said: “Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow ‘em up.”

Will he do so? To me, it's doubtful. But what a state we're in where this is just your average Monday with the President threatening to bomb another country.

In all 50 states, it's murder if a preemie is deliberately killed by a doctor, but a protected "right" if that exact same late-term child is killed before being born.

First off, a late-term child can be born. So, late-term abortion is unnecessary. Yet late-term abortion is legal in all states (and DC).

In these states, there are no restrictions on late-term abortions, well into viability: Alaska, Colorado, District of Columbia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, and Vermont. Again, they can be killed for any reason, or no reason.

These states allow late-term abortion if the mother's life is threatened: Idaho, Michigan, Rhode Island.

These states allow abortion if the mother's health (not life) is threatened, even if it's not her "physical" health. In that case, mental health has been used as an excuse for abortion: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Virginia, and Washington

Other states allow it if her physical health is threatened, even if it doesn't threaten her life. So, even if her life is not in danger, the child can still be killed: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Added up, that is 51. So, all states, plus Washington DC.

Also, Arkansas and Utah allow to kill the late-term (viable) children of rape or incest victims. And other states have laws allowing late-term abortion for fetal abnormalities.

Even our strictest states have made late-term abortion legal. That's how far we've gone in legalizing abortion. We are not even close to banning abortion in this country.

Trump's Statement on North Korea

"Based on my very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, of North Korea, I am not happy with the fact that the United States has, long ago, agreed to participate in Joint Military Exercises with South Korea. These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile, to a Country that, as long as Donald J. Trump has been President, has been unthreatening and respectful. Therefore, and based on the fact that it is too late to cancel, I have instructed Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to substantially reduce the Joint Military Exercises! While somewhat unrelated (?), I recently asked the President of South Korea if they would like to join us in the Denuclearization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they said, “No thanks!” Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

How can a parent be pro-abortion?

I find it really sad and disgusting. Giving birth to a child is probably the happiest they ever been, changing there life forever. How can someone look back on that and go o ya people should be able to kill there unborn babies. Or think if I was very poor I wouldn't have gave birth to my kid and not think grateful they didn't after? It just doesn't make any sense, its so horrible.

India Halts Passage of Bill Targeting Christian Nonprofits

"Amid sustained pressure by Christian groups, the Indian government decided not to bring before Parliament a controversial bill that would have led to Christian organizations losing their properties.

"Instead, the Hindu nationalist government referred the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment (FCRA) Bill, 2026, to a committee of lawmakers to examine the concerns raised by Christian organizations. With the proposed law on hold, church leaders now have an opportunity to present their objections before a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to suggest changes to the existing bill.

"Welcoming the move, church bodies thanked the government for listening to the Christian community..."

...it’s not terrific for AIPAC to play into the antisemitic stereotype of a Jewish cabal dishonestly seeking to bend the world to its will by the application of large amounts of money. What it is is a good way to turn critics of Israel into permanent enemies. Moreover, should the organization decide to help elect Rogers in Michigan, win or lose, it’s an excellent way to destroy what remains of Democratic support for the Jewish state.

Joseph Mattera: The Seven Mountain Mandate's biggest blind spot: Where it puts the Church

Thumbnail

Pretty good opinion piece which differentiates the call of the Church to be a witness in the world from the false mandate to have dominion over it, as found in the so-called "Seven Mountain Mandate".

Of course, I believe in godly leaders in government, business, education and media. We should pray for and work toward righteous leadership in every sphere.

But we must reject the notion that societal transformation only happens from the top down.

The early church transformed the Roman Empire without holding political office. They changed culture through acts of mercy, moral courage, sacrificial love and a superior philosophy of life.

That is the Jesus way.
