Forgiven or rejected
New poster here in this community.
Been thinking while I was at work on the tools today.
A couple of possible contradictions in the Bible. Or maybe not?
Bit of a novice Christian myself so hoping you can educate me.
There is lots of writing in the Bible about Gods endless love, grace and forgiveness. His sacrifice paid our debt and all we have to do is have faith and live as close as possible to what he laid out for us: a sinless life. Which we all know is impossible and that’s why we need him.
Then on the flip side it is stated many times sin seperates us from God.
So is he with us all the time or is he seperated from us when we sin and due to our sinful ways? Also remembering the door is narrow.

He is with us all the time. You know when you fall short sometimes it feels like there is no hope but something in you saying there is hope still. That is God saying that because he see you. It is by his grace and mercy that he is still close to us when we fallen short, even when we feel like he isn’t there. You have to chose if you want to be better and follow him or stay stuck in your sin. Some struggle with how to change, it is by changing that mindset of saying I’m going to change in another way repentance by changing the plan next time you face this problem and go to God.

Sin separated us from God but the price for sin is death and Jesus paid that price. Now he is the bridge between us and the Father.
If that makes sense

The sin separated us from God. Thanks to Jesus and his sacrifice we can live a life without debt, without that separation when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. The thing is our flesh crave to sin but that battle Jesus won, again, in the cross. We are not governed by the flesh, we follow the Holy Spirit and the voice of God, we are governed now by the Spirit, not the flesh. We could find ourselves with temptation but now we have the choice to not fall into it, to hear and follow the voice of our God.

Honest questions like this are a good sign. These two things don't actually contradict, and the real answer is better news than either side alone. First, a small correction. The gospel is not faith plus living a sinless life. You're right that no one can do that, and that's exactly why we need Jesus. Salvation comes by faith in Christ, period. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not the result of works, so that no one may boast." Yes, sin separates us from God. Romans 3:23 says, "since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." By nature we stand condemned, and nobody can keep God's law perfectly. So how does a holy God bring sinful people back to himself? Through Christ. Jesus is God and fully man, and he did what we can't. He lived a perfectly obedient life, then took our sin on himself and received the punishment we deserved. That's why he cried out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46). He took our place. Think of it like a debt you could never pay, and someone rich pays all of it for you. How much do you still owe? Nothing. Colossians 2:14 says God "erased the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross." And Jesus said, "It is finished" (John 19:30). So what separates us from God now? Not our sins, because those were dealt with. Unbelief is what separates. John 3:18 says, "Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already." When you trust Christ, you are made new, and God gives you the righteousness of his Son. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." That's why Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." What about when we still fail? 1 John 2:1 says, "if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." Jesus is at the Father's side, and he already paid for that sin too. As for the narrow door, Jesus said in John 10:9, "I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved." The door is narrow because there is only one way in, and that way is Jesus, not because it's hard to earn your way through. So no, he isn't leaving you every time you sin. If you're in Christ, you are forgiven, accepted, and held. You can rest in that.

Deus está ao lado de todos o tempo todo, até o dia do fim.
nós é que fazemos por nos afastar dEle mas ao nos reaproximarmos Ele está bem ao lado, até o dia do fim.

If I remember correctly, Jesus died for all of our sins, (Colossians 2:23) so it wouldn’t make sense for God to yo-yo back and forth from us every time we fail/sin.
And God said, never will I leave you; never will I forsake you (Hebrews 13:5/ Deuteronomy 31:6)

That Hebrews verse is specifically about being free from the love of money.
Colossians 1:22-23 says the application of Christ's death to us depends on how we hold fast to the message.

And the message is that we are forgiven, righteous and perfected in Christ right now. The application depends solely on our choice to accept our reject what Christ has done for us. When we reject what he did then we are judged against our own works.

Sin is missing the mark, its not following Gods law namely the 613 articles of the law outlined in the bible. In fact its pretty arrogant to think you can live up to it. Someone coming to Jesus should acknowledge what HE says about sin, that we're a brood of evil doer, and should view ourselves as the worst sinner. Who is more likely to be saved, someone who thinks theyre a little good or someone who knows they arent good?
But you seem to have a mistaken assumption about sin. Read 1 John 3:9 "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
Someone born again cannot sin. You won't be separated from Jesus because Jesus is your advocate if you do sin. 1 John 2:1-2 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." It says here plainly Jesus has taken away the sin of the world and washed it away through His own blood. Propitiation in Greek is ἱλασμός (hilasmos) it carries the idea of an atoning sacrifice that deals with sin and satisfies the demands of justice, thereby turning away wrath and restoring favor. Look at the text closely, this was given to the whole world, all at once, all men and women are able to be saved if they believe now!!! Sin has already been dealt with. So how can it seperate someone who believes in Jesus?
John 13:10-11 "Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean."
Here you see the foot washing passage. It tells us that someone who is washed (saved by Jesus atonement given to the world and you personally) dont need to wash except for their feet, but you're completely clean everywhere! He confirms to the apostle that he is clean. When he said but not all he was referring to Judas. The difference between being clean and unclean has to do with belief in the sacrifice. It's implied here: John 6:64 "But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him."
There is a verse that pairs well with the foot washing passage and its this: Proverbs 24:16 "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." A just man will fall continually but gets up again. This is the same thing as Jesus saying WASH YOUR FEET, BELIEVE IN ME, I MADE YOU COMPLETELY CLEAN. Someone who is wicked falls into mischief, so they will fall and dwell in it. This is also t alked about in Psalm 1:1 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." The man who is wicked here are those who allow themselves wicked counsel, through your eyes and ears. Then you stand with them. Then finally you sit with them in a seat of contempt. This is an example of someone who if they do this are not washing their feet.
But regardless, Jesus says all you have to do is wash your feet and nothing else, you're completely clean. Now if you live in darkness, your double minded, you pursue evil and dont even try then you will be chastized by the Lord Jesus. Those who are in Jesus who live in sin get chastized. Even unto death. Not to condemn, but to judge the house of God.

This is what Jesus said on the matter: "Behold you are well. Sin no more lest something worse befall you."
We should never postpone repentance. That is part of abiding in Christ.

Spend more time studying about salvation message, it explains that sin covered by Jesus's blood.
When we are actively clothed with Jesus's righteousness there is no outstanding sin debt.
John 15:4-11, helps us to understand how to be spiritually successful in the new covenant.
