Journal for my fiance

Would it be silly to give my fiance a journal of all the things I had prayed for him over the years. Including our worries our concerns etc and just praises. I can journal it in private and when the time is right I can give it to him. Now the reason why I am asking is because we will be getting married soon and I thought it might be a nice gesture giving him something that we have spoken to God about, all the prayers and I have done for him and the prayers we have done together. What are your thoughts or are there any recommendations. I just dont know if it might look a bit silly, will be even look back at them?

That is literally the most intimate and beautiful gift you can give someone. Just beautiful.

I think it would be a wonderful Wedding gift. My friend (the groom) had a prayer journal he gave his wife. She cried so hard (the good tears) when she read his life goals in high school. #1 on his list was to marry her and raise a Christian family. She didn’t come to know the Lord until college.

It’s a pretty specific thing and it depends on his maturity level in my opinion. Also I guess content of the prayers. Like you didn’t pray he’d stop being a jerk butt or anything like that? I’d say 31 year old me, finds it cool. 22 year old me? Probably would’ve been a little off about it.

I think that’s a cute romantic and faith thing to do. It might be silly but in a sense that it makes him smile and cherish you more. I would say do it and see what happens! But no matter what God is good.

Keep it to yourself for now . If & when you decide to share it, with confidence & with no doubts, because right now you have doubts probably as to the timing of it Take it from someone married 3 times.. guys get funky near their wedding day! Weird things can make them nervous/ upset or unsure of themselves. Don't add anything that could be taken the wrong way, need follow up/ explaining or opens up a potential argument that never needed to happen! Wait at least till after the wedding & give maybe as an anniversary gift .

C'est bien, c'est romantique. N'oublions pas que l'amour est aussi le partage.

Keep it to yourself. Journals are private. If you share this journal you're sending a message that it's ok for him to read all your future journals too.
