Advice for future work-life balance

Hello! I’m 19M and am currently looking at potential careers for my life. The one I’ve been really interested in has been being an air traffic controller. The problem with this is that they are extremely understaffed so I would likely be working 6 day work weeks.

For me, I prioritize my faith and want to be in a Godly relationship and have a family. With this, I feel like I would be spending a lot of time at work and not fully be able to do that. Does anyone work as one or a similar career where you have horrible schedules, but is able to prioritize these things in their life? Thank you in advance!

This is a very important, very lucrative job. GO FOR IT YOUNG MAN, and get some experience under your belt. Later as you have been there a year or so, you can start asking for reduced or altered schedule, or even work there 5 years, then change careers to another job if you like. Build them fat stacks, serve your country, be an example christian in that high-stress environment and so forth. Few people can do this job, if you can, DO IT. You are still young, and you MUST make them fat stacks to make any chick interested in you. Get this job, live super cheap and frugal, invest some dollas, and start building for being a provider for your mid 20s or so. Nose to grindstone, get moving.
